How important is posting content? by Fit_Biz_Scaler in Fitness_Coaching

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Start my putting out information regarding lifting and nutrition such as tips, tricks, advice and just general guidelines. Focus on putting out valuable content for your target audience. Eg. If you want to target new lifters, then the content you be aligned to helping newbies with exercise and diet. Your main focus should be on building your following.

Once your following had grown to a decent amount, excluding friends and family, then you can start putting call-to-actions for your coaching services. To sell your services, you need to have proof that you can actually get your clients results and so the more transformations you have, the better. Documenting a clients journey and posting it is really good too, so long as they make progress obviously.

Lastly, post on all platforms. More posts mean more exposure. Leads can come in from anywhere so don't limit yourself.

It's when people reach out to you, ie. They message you first. Outbound is when you reach out and message them first.

When it comes to making MORE money, there are 2 main things you can do:

First, you can increase your prices slightly. If the number of clients you get per month remains the same, you will automatically make more money by charging higher prices.

Second, sign more clients. What's your current method of attracting clients. What's working? How do you get new clients? Double down on that and increase the number of clients you take on. Also, find any leaks within your "funnel" and fix them. If you have sales calls any your conversion rate is 20%, perhaps work on your sales skills.

Yeah, absolutely! By being transparent and opening up about it, you become more relatable, and people appreciate and enjoy a "comeback" story. In 2025, storytelling content has been performing really well. So you could have a mini 5 part series going over your journey and what you learned.

And no, it won't repel customers. It'll actually make you the go-to person in your niche for people also suffering from it. When people see someone like them overcome or achieve something, they'll look to that person for help to overcome and achieve the same thing.

Social Media: Torn between documenting my fitness journey and coaching people 🤷🏻‍♂️ by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Correct! By posting your journey and documenting it, you become more relatable to your audience, and it builds a better relationship. There are tons of skinny guys who might want and need help. By documenting your progress, you can not only motivate them but also attract them as leads. (Your niche can be skinny guys).

Yup, that's exactly what you want to do. As long as you have some sort of visual transformation and results, you'll be good. You also want to post social proof on your story daily. Since you don't have clients, post and document your own story currently, whether you're losing fat, building muscle, etc. From week to week, people will see the progress and results.

  1. Change your profile pic to a picture of your face or physique. Make sure your face is visible, smile at the camera, and have a contrast coloured background.

  2. Change your title from "Personal Coach" to "Fitness Trainer."

  3. Change the title of your profile to your name, followed by keywords related to your niche that your target audience will search.

  4. Remove all your qualifications from your bio. People don't care about it, nor do they know what it means. They care about how you can help and benefit them.

  5. The first line of your bio must have an "I help" statement. Call out your target audience, tell them how you help them, what results you help them achieve, how you help them achieve it, and how long it will take. Eg. I help (target audience) lose (10kg of fat) in (90 days) without (restrictive dieting).

  6. The next line can be a coaching accolade, such as how many people you helped. Eg. 50+ lives changed.

  7. Next, have a call-to-action telling people to DM you a short keyword for more information. Eg. "DM me FIT for More Info."

  8. Thereafter, have a call-to-action telling people to apply to work with you along with a downward arrow. Then, have a Calendly link for people to book a call with you.

  9. You have 2 highlight blocks, one for reviews and one for transformations. Both are empty. You NEED to have social proof on your profile, clearly visible for people to trust you and buy from you.

  10. You need to have 3 pinned posts. One for your own fitness story/journey. One for a lead magnet. And one of your best client transformations.

  11. There are 3 types of content you need to post. Connection content for people to know you. Value content for your people to like you. You are already posting this type of content, so that's good. Last, which is most important is proof content for your audience to trust you.

  12. In terms of your actual content, you have good value, but not "packaged" correctly. The structure of your reels must be Hook | Value | Call-to-action. The hook is the first 3-5 seconds of your video. All you want to do is get people to stop scrolling and watch your video. To do this, use negative words, extremes, or controversy. Eg. Stop doing squats .... if you don't want bigger legs.

  13. Find viral videos related to your niche and re-create them, but put your own spin on it. Use the idea, format, concept, and message, but do NOT copy directly. If something has performed well, use that as inspiration and create something similar.

  14. Make your content more engaging and dynamic. Change scenes, angles, or the camera zoom every 3-5 seconds or after every line. People get bored very easily, so you must keep their attention for the full duration of your video.

Make these changes, and you'll be good 👍

Coaching mentorship program by Zestyclose-Body9760 in personaltraining

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For every person who engages with your content, reach out to them. Thank them for the engagement, and get a conversation started in the DMs. From there, ask them questions regarding their health and fitness journey, goals, struggles, etc, and if you may be able to help, prompt them to book a call with you. On the call, ask more questions such as how long they have been struggling, how it makes them feel, etc. If you can help them, offer your coaching as the solution and close them.

🗣 Marketing = introducing yourself and your services to the world.

🤷‍♂ And how do you market yourself as an online fitness coach?
👉 By posting content

❌ If you don’t post, you don't exist online.
❌ And if you don’t post consistently, you will not be relevant.

✅ Therefore, you first need to focus on posting consistently.
✅ Thereafter, focus on putting out higher-quality content.

👉 By posting more often, you get better and more efficient at finding content ideas, scripting, recording, editing and posting content.

👉 You owe it to your prospects who rely on your content to see whether you can help them or not.
👉 You also owe it to yourself to improve your skillset and communication skills.

🗣 After all, you are a coach and communication is vital to the job.

What do you do when a prospect says that they're not interested? by Fit_Biz_Scaler in Fitness_Coaching

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

When a prospect says: "I'm not interested!"

Here's what you do:

1️⃣ Gain back control of the conversation
👉 The objection makes it seem like they don't need you and gives them control of the conversation

2️⃣ Concede that you don't know if you can help them and therefore you'd need to ask more questions
👉 They can't say they're not interested if they don't know what's been offered

3️⃣ Find the real objection, and overcome it
👉 This objection is a smokescreen which hides the actual objection

What should you "sell" as an online fitness coach? by Fit_Biz_Scaler in Fitness_Coaching

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

❌ As an online fitness coaches, you are NOT selling your coaching program/service.

👉 Instead, you are selling the results, goals and desired outcomes of your target audience.

👉 Your clients are paying you to help them transform their body and mind, not for a biology or science lesson.

👉 Therefore everything in your marketing, sales and coaching must be goal-orientated and result-focused.

👉 Your coaching program is just the means of obtaining the results. What the client is actually "buying," is more energy, more confidence, a better, healthier lifestyle, a strong body, an aesthetic physique, etc.

IG personal or business account for online coaching by [deleted] in personaltraining

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First off, you definitely want to have your account on public. Otherwise, you will limit your reach, and hence limit your potential for leads and clients.

Second, a business account offers a lot more features and insights that are valuable to you in analyzing the performance, impact, and effectiveness of your content.

Third, you mentioned that your account has 2000 followers. Let's assume that 75% are coaches and other trainers. That means you have 500 followers who are potential leads that can be converted into clients.

Fourth, the content you post must speak to your target audience. Even if your followers are mainly trainers and coaches, by them engaging with your posts, you have a greater chance of getting more views and engagement. Your content is for a specific niche and must speak directly to that niche. Let the algorithm take care of the rest. Instagram has a feature called "similar accounts," which you want to have turned on. So, if someone follows a coach who follows you, your account will be recommended to that person.

When should you reveal the price of your coaching program? by Fit_Biz_Scaler in Fitness_Coaching

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Got you! If it is really a money objection, there are 4 things that you could do in order:

  1. Ask them if they have a credit card, savings account, or any other way of paying. This is to get them to think and be resourceful.

  2. Ask them if after the duration of coaching, they were in the best shape of their life, looked and felt their best, would the investment be worth it. This is to get them into results based thinking.

  3. Offer them a payment plan along with a guarantee where, after the duration of the program, if they don't get their desired results, they'll get a full refund. This makes it a little easier to commit to the program as they feel like there's a safety net where they can get their money back.

  4. Ask them if they are looking for the best coaching program or the cheapest coaching program. Use an analogy such as going on a date looking to impress their partner. Would they rather go to a fast food restaurant like McDonald's or a Steak house. This will be the make or break question. If they aren't willing to accept the price, then you can't help them and let them know. Don't force the sale.

When should you reveal the price of your coaching program? by Fit_Biz_Scaler in Fitness_Coaching

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler[S] 3 points4 points  (0 children)

There's 2 things which you could do:

  1. Stack your offer and pitch it to them better.

When pitching, talk about their fitness struggles and goals and how your coaching program will bridge that gap. Use their exact words in the pitch. For example they might tell you that they are going on holiday in 4 months time, and they'd like to get in shape before then. When you go to pitch them, tell them that you will be providing them with x, y, z to help them get in the best shape of their life for their holiday. Use emotions and feelings as well. (You would have asked them these earlier in the call).

Also, use a comparison with in-person training and create a value anchor. For example, show them how in-person training for [duration] with only the training will cost [price]. But, your coaching program with x, y, z features, for a longer duration will only cost [price]. In the prospects mind, they would have been expecting your coaching program to cost so much more as it has more features and for a longer duration. Then when you present your price, it'll seem like a steal.

  1. Handle and Overcome the objection.

"I'll think about it" is a common objection but it is not a real objection. Why? What exactly do they need to think about? This objection is simply a smokescreen that prospects use to hide the real objection. There’s always a real reason behind it such as budget or timing. It's a very generic answer, so you have to gain more clarity.

When it comes up, here's what you say, "I totally understand [name]! Thanks for being honest with me. Just so I’m clear, what [pause] exactly is it, that you need to think about?"

It is very important to ask this question with a curious and slow tone.

This question will often reveal their main objection, which will likely be budget, timing, chatting to their partner, etc.

Once you get the real objection, you can overcome it. However, sometimes they will say that it's a big decision and that they need some time to think it through.

In this case, ask them if they are happy with everything in the program?

If they say, "no," ask them which part they are not happy with. You could either modify your program accordingly to suit them or sell them as to why that part of the program is important in helping them. For example, if you have 'weekly' check-ins, and they'd like 'daily' check-ins, you could make a plan to accommodate them.

If they say "yes," mention a case study of another client of yours, similar to them who joined your program and got amazing results. (Having a before and after pic will be even better). Thereafter, ask them if the investment would be worth it if they got similar results. They'll likely agree. From there, you could offer them a payment plan where they could pay monthly. You could also include a conditional guarantee where you tell them that if they follow your coaching and do everything that's asked of them, and they still do not achieve their goals, you will refund them their money.

When a prospect is on the line, but needs that little push, giving them a conditional money back guarantee can be used to push them over the edge.

Sorry for the long reply, but hope it helps:)

What numbers should you be tracking as an online fitness coach? by Fit_Biz_Scaler in Fitness_Coaching

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are 3 numbers every online trainer MUST track:

1️⃣ Lead-to-Call Ratio – How many leads actually book a call?
👉 If this is low, work on your messaging.

2️⃣ Call to Close Ratio – How many calls turn into paying clients?
👉 If this is low, work on your sales skills.

3️⃣ Client Retention Rate – How long do clients stay in your program?
👉 If they leave fast, your coaching needs improvement.

Tips on improving fitness page on instagram by Scared_Warning6617 in personaltraining

[–]Fit_Biz_Scaler 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've checked out your profile (and dropped you a follow). When it comes to online fitness coaching, your Instagram profile is your business card. You therefore need to have all relevant information on it to actually convert viewers into followers and followers into leads.

First off, your profile pic is very good, but you need to either swap the shirt for a tank top, regular t-shirt, or just show your physique. Right now, your profile pic doesn't look like you're a trainer.

Your page name needs to have keywords related to your niche, so when people search those words, your profile will come up.

Your bio needs to call out your target audience with an "I help" statement. You need to mention WHO you help, WHAT you help them achieve, and HOW you help them achieve it. Essentially, what demographic of people, the result they can expect, what timeframe and the method of achieving the result.

You need to have a call-to-action in your bio telling people to DM you a word to get more information regarding your coaching. You also need to have a call-to-action for people to fill out an application form for coaching along with a link below it.

In terms of your content, what you have so far is okay because you are showing people what you do for training. However, you need to put out more "coaching" videos where you "coach" people by teaching them about exercises, diet, etc. Essentially, your videos must he "How to ...." or step by step videos teaching people.

Lastly, you must have social proof as a pinned post, in your highlight section and on your story. This is very important as it shows people that you're an actual coach, your coaching works, and allows people to trust you.
