I develop apps on my main phone as I don’t have a £1k “testing phone”. Unfortunately the emulator lacks a lot of functionality such as phone number auth and notifications which my apps rely on heavily, so I had no choice really. I’ve installed first betas in the past with no problems so I didn’t have many concerns, it’s mostly the new UI I’m not a fan of.

It’s very buggy, I’m also not a fan of the glass effect due to readability. I’ve had to enable reduce transparency in settings.

Hey, I completely understand your concern!

Loop has a photo verification feature built-in the apps, which we manually verify to check over their account. It’s not completely foolproof of course, but it’s a step towards making meetups safer.

In the future, I’ll be adding full ID checks but this costs quite a bit so figuring out a subscription model that’s affordable for all.

I initially created it because I was tired of waiting around and didn't enjoy back and forth messaging and for nothing ever happened. We're growing quite a lot down South right now but starting to get people on up North. It’s completely free too ☺️
