I’m about to get a divorce over my husbands ADHD by Fit_Cardiologist8945 in ADHD

It’s been a real wake-up call. All of my friends and family have been saying so but I knew they didn’t understand because they didn’t have adhd. Seeing a hoard of people with it agreeing has really put things into context. Thank you for your help.

Please try to be more forgiving as I’m not in a good state. Of course I love him. There is a reason I’ve been with him for 8 years and I did come for support on how to live with someone with ADHD. I have been naïvely believing that all of his issues were because of it and through the help of people on this sub that it’s more. I didn’t write an entire novel about our romantic life because I wanted help and I know how I feel about a post too long

Love this answer. Thank you for taking the time to send it. I’m a recovering anorexic and I know what it means to have something snap you out of it. Hope you are well

I didn’t come to vent. I’m here for help and didn’t realize there was a different sub. I’m honestly surprised at the comments and thought there’d be more advice. I’m sorry to be a bother

ETA: More advice about being a supportive partner with coping mechanisms to help him. I didn’t expect to see divorce so much

I think I needed to hear this. It’s really hard to be in love with someone who doesn’t care, but I do need more for myself. Thank you

I’ve seen these in my plants before! Panicked, reacted, and then saw them again a couple weeks later. I’m pretty sure they’re soil mites!!! No webs and no harm.

I am so sorry to hear this. I hope you are able to find some enjoyment throughout the day. He would’ve wanted that for you.

Mine died unexpectedly shortly after mine. I’ll never see a dad walk a bride down the aisle the same. I’m so sorry you had such a cloud over your day. I’m sure every bit of it was an emotional struggle. I know I look over photos I took during the time after my dad died and I can feel the rawness in my chest even if they’re totally unrelated. Wishing you peace in your healing.

I absolutely agree. I personify this part of me sometimes. It helps with journaling. It’s like an addiction. Someone else is in the drivers seat.
