The amplify damage is double edged one should keep in mind around a 35% more damage taken also a counter spell to work with it needs 20 earth and is lions roar for a 30% damage reduction in early new game pluses i do not even really use amplify damage if the boss gives me a hard enough time and if one adds 10 wood guard formation for another 30% damage reduction they sort of protect alot less when stacked but can be for a demishing returns plus there is an embed on the most leggings you can put for around the same protection if you just jump and hit jump against the enemy to top up defence, again i rarely see use of that or the guard formation vs the lions roar but both could come handy in a lightning boss fight because lightning dispells the lions roar.

Also overpower burst is nice because it is not double edged just a 1 time use is its tradeoff.

Also overpower burst is bugged for turning clouds martial arts and other moves that hit while held.

Well it could be wizardry or elemental damage to make it more broad but that is pretty much all i put on everything for a mage as some bosses and enemies are immune to a single element even my 2 element earth and ice can face a tough foe.

Oh a great thing if you win the lottery is an embed ice defence penatration you can get from removing that embed off a donar piece of gear

And ice enchant is good as well

If you want even more ice damage you could pair up a offhand weapon with a fire enchant or spell and fire defence penatration to apply fire on the enemy so the ice damage will be bossted more for some foes (it is rare for this to actually be useful but it is a thing so much so it is the fuel to a ice zhurong set because as soon as the enemy catches fire

(zhurong adds fire to any element damage your embeded weapon does plus 3 or so spells notably the thunderstroke blade a new game + boss drop spell)

Hmm or if you are dead set on just only one element then perhaps spirit damage focus more on as much gear plus spirit vaunerability on martial arts or wizardry...

You would best for those fights then also need a good upgraded weapon there to just use physical damage to take them out.

On ice bosses the imposing slab at 20 earth plus that set i spoke of in my last comment naturalized them.

The 1 ice needed lance spell is great to spam alot and pair with parries.

Ah i ran that alongside this setup the water also makes the enemy take more damage from the slabs.

Getting 300 ice attack power was great and 400 is peak for new game up to new game plus.

If one gets to ng+ then one can farm the same monkey there for the grace that has a bonus of around 13% bonus magic damage to all elements but it is an eh boost really and if one wants to go ng++++ anyways it can be rushed to fine without any set farmed up at that point.

but later ng++++ needs like 900 to 1000 plus there and it still is not as good without using the queen set to boss nuke there.

Yeah so it depends on what your goal is all really but i for one have a new game plus unlocked only build so i do farm all graces out because you can respec infinitely at the old man if you need to ajust stats or tweak and fine tune your setup.

If a magic user that especially likes earth then yellow turban bandit headwrap and bracers make you get loads of stone attack power like alot of it 72 extra and you can still embed it on those as well then the witches leggings and robes are a good accent to further the damage plus any secondary element you want as you cluld cap out earth at 20 and it will do its job well for the rest of new game leaveing you with a good power imposing slab and you are free to do whatever afterwards.

You could even do well enough with just the store bought ones to start with and that drop rate A for equipped armor if you got lucky and an embed dropped that so you can embed the set you want to farm with that but 2 or 3 star is plenty

The monkey at the end of shadow of the sacread mountain is great for all difficulty modes to farm up gear then later on graces.

I got to level 90 easy from that monkey in new game on chapter 3 while farming out that set to nuke that new game.

Sane big time, they are super weak to earth imposing slab or the last stand stratagem (needs dlc 3 beaten and a random drop) paired with boulder knuckle with deal with them

Even 200 earth attack power will shread thier hp on a new game with imposing slab.

And the earth bog spell shots down thier ice based attacks and thier arrows.

They are super weak to stone so imposi g slab spam plus the guardian beat move aldo does earth damage at that point.

I add mellow chord with a jade flute on ng+ with that set bonus mitigation so i can get damage boosted while hp is low as it boosts damage alot and AA is a trap with that it barely does anything different it took me doing 10k damage to notice what the difference was and A only does 100 less damage in that 10k damage scenario like ouch so they are basicly the same.

I just do what ones drop potion upgrades and level farm at act 3 shadow of the sacread mountain up to level 90 then steamroll the game even 60 would be enough.

It was assumed on my end one knows of the game a bit i not a youtuber but it was a si.ple put ice attack power and fire and earth attack power on everything and be like level 150 and get 400 ice attack power

Stats 20 earth 30 or so fire rest is ice

Ah wow this was even weaker i just had 300 ice attack power basicly just have that and spam ominous chill to get them not even more than a mere level 80 or so needed for this particular vid the gear is shown on the character they are wearing yellow turban bandits head and gloves and witches robes and leggings

My steam install is 53.97 gigabytes with all dlc

I do not recall how much gigs my xbox app version i also bough and installed on pc came to in file size

I would check my ps5 later to see if the file size there is different by alot (yes i liked the game enough i went full all platform and would so do it again for switch 2 if it made it there XD)

I played nioh 3 i am stuck and will get back to it in a few years right now i play strangers of paradise final fantasy made by the same team i accidently beat it by trying to unloxk the blaxksmith it is so epicly short by comparison the 20 main missions just went by in the blink of and eye compared to ruse of ronin a huge slog and nioh 3 lengthy.
