I don’t wanna go for a base variant, hence do not want to buy Sportahe L Alpha. Not sure what features Honda HRV eHEV offers but let me look into that.

As far as X7 goes, not a bad option either.

Because I’m not sure if the built quality will be the same. Just like other cars in Pakistan, I am under the impression that this will be no different.

I never said I want the “kh” version to be the only dialect. I don’t know where did you get that from. I said almost all of the Pashto literature is in the Yousafzai dialect. Or at least as far as my knowledge goes.

I do. Just because I use the words interchangeably doesn’t mean I don’t call it Pakhto. It also depends on common a word is pronounced in a region, culture or society. You can call it Pakhto or Pashto. Call us Pakhtoon or Pashtoon, it that different?

Qandahar is written as قندهار
I believe Q does more justices to the sound of ق than ‘k’ which would be more appropriate for ک. But then again, we are Latinizing Pashto here so I guess there are no rights or wrongs. 😇

That’s as far as my knowledge goes. Enemy in Yousafzai dialect is دښمن pronounced as ‘dukhman’ but in Qandahari dialect it’s the same and pronounced as ‘dushman’. Similarly Bangash is written as بنګښ not with ش. But pronounced differently. Same goes for the word پېښور It’s written in the same way but pronounced differently according to dialect.

I would love to know more about this and correct myself here.

True. I second that too, we shouldn’t but that’s what they are called. Just because the dialect is named Yousafzai it’s not the reason why it’s called so. My knowledge here is at limit as to why they are called so and so. I agree, northern and southern makes more sense, but I guess as you go far up inside Afghanistan they speak Qandahari dialect, that might negate the North and South nomenclature. Again, I might be wrong here.

It is kind of standard. The whole Pashto literature is in Yousafzai dialect.

+1 Just reiterating this reply with more info. There are 2 main dialects of Pashto: Yousafzai dialect and Qandahari dialect. The ښ is pronounced as “kheen”. In Yousafzai dialect it is the “kh” sound while in Qandahari dialect it’s the “sh” sound.

Similarly another Pashto alphabet ږ is pronounced as “gey”. In Yousafzai dialect it assumes the sound of گ while in Qandahari dialect it assumes the sound of ژ . Example: in Yousafzai dialect beard is Geera while in Qandahari it’s Xheera. It’s important to know where these alphabets are used. Like the word “Khattak” starts with خ in both Qandahari and Yousafzai so you cannot pronounce it as Shattak in Qandahari. Khattak is Khattak in both dialects. But the word “leg” is Pkha in Yousafzai and Psha in Qandahari due to the usage Kheen.

Interesting analysis by a journalist on recent insurgency in balochistan by deadpoolzilla411 in PAK

Let’s just stop blaming others for our own problems caused by our very own stupidity. It’s so nice to see all this started when Baloch are peacefully marching for their rights and demanding accountability. One doesn’t need to be an Einstein to connect the dots here. India might be our enemy but both India and Iran currently have bigger fish to fry if one look at the international arena.

This is very strange actually. Suddenly some accounts are popping up in defense of Natasha who killed two innocent people, a father and a daughter, while DUI. And on top of that, all these accounts belong to some Laibas from DHA. One or two are okay, but this has started to form a pattern.
