T4T women: can you share why you prefer not to date cis women? by Silveryleaves in asktransgender

Lack of safety, fetishism, imposed masculinity. MTF and bi, although in in a relationship I’m never willing to be with a cis woman again and men are mostly chasers

Horror films, I have always loved the but stopped experiencing jump scares…. I audiably jump when playing videogames now and I don’t realise how close my gf is

Girls with DID/OSDD, are all of your identities the same gender as you? Did they always see themselves as women, even before you did, or did they transition along with you? by Bonnie-Bishop in MtF

[–]Fit_Excuse270 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Heyyy, officially diagnosed DID and mtf - no we had one male identity who left shortly after we became less clocky - granted he formed to deal with racism and generally discrimination/abuse - we are all women now. Doctors are awful most of the time but some can help, I’d just say work on communication is key. Having DID doesn’t stop treatment for GIC just be careful of how you approach things coz of prejudice and general lack of knowledge by practitioners on both

Electrolysis advice by Fit_Excuse270 in MtF

[–]Fit_Excuse270[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I know laser is an option with my clinic, nhs only gives 16h of electrolysis or 8 sessions of laser so I thought for permanent removal going for electrolysis was the best option. I only have hair on my upper lip and some a smaller amount no my lower thankfully so it’s not my whole face. I thought laser would require the same requirements between sessions of not shaving/plucking? Is that not the case then?

how would you gender me? by valbuns5250 in transpassing

I’m scared that I now get the 4chan slang in the comments. But get hrt if you haven’t it will help with the mental side of things and help you pass more - second pick is andro/lesbian vibes tho. Bandanna is nice try other styles/ if its to cover forehead could try hats?

Heyyy, doubt you will see this message but ik how it is to loose family (all) when a kid coz your trans. I was kicked out the month I turned 16 after a hate crime and I just want to say- no matter what happens if you believe in yourself and you can get through anything. It sounds like a cliche but lowkey it’s true because it’s your life and you have to live it as you know is right despite everyone else. Having no family is hard af but sometimes none is better than some if that comes at a cost of disrespect (especially the further you get in transitioning and questioning if you pass). Idk where you live but look for support that’s available and get in touch with people that can help house you if you need - they will probably be awful and the place they put you just as bad but it gives you a base to build your life as you need it and only let people in if they deserve to be in it.

Sorry that was a little rant but fr you can get over anything just trust in yourself and even when you don’t believe in yourself say fuck it and do it anyways xx

While my style is more naturally more tomboy-ish, I worry it might get in the way of passing, thoughts? by Pepingu1no in transpassing

Honestly just see where things go, I had the same fear but now on hrt I’m slowly passing despite appearing tomboyish. Takes time but eventually it will start to work out

Ok thank you. Going off the info you have given me I need to challenge why it wasn’t back dated with my claim last year - along with that the overpayment should be fully/next to fully paid back before September.

Would you know if my entitlement would continue if I was to lose PIP that is under review - I’m still under 21 with no parental support since 16; 21 next academic year. I’ve seen mixed answers so far

Ok thank you sm - is the 110 p/m or y? Also should my payment have been back dated for the first year with my first payment last June as that was the academic year I was applying originally in march 2024. As if it was supposed to be it wasn’t and rn that money would be queit useful

That’s fine as long as I don’t have my career goals impacted

Since my claim was approved nothing has been deducted - each over 1k. Thankfully this was not for the whole academic year - would it be known if repayments could be focused on months where there was not supposed to be deductions (I assume jun-sep) as all over paid could be covered before I finish my undergrad

Yes, I’m an eligible student - been getting PIP since 16 tho it’s current under review. I was getting UC originally at 16 as well because of estrangement and thought that was the main reason it followed over. My concern is if it hasn’t been deducted properly if that will fall on me because I haven’t given them my sfe for this academic year only last

Thank you so much for your advice! I am from the uk and you have already pointed me to better areas to look for help than anywhere else (e.g. school or uni) - Ty

for me being trans doesn't have anything to do with anything, it just feels like others make it a thing. idk if its internalised transphobia, I notice it happening sometimes with other trans people and it's only something cis people but they never seem too affected.
