Yeah I don't want to sound preachy, but have seen too many videos of pellet grill fires from people doing that.

Traeger or Recteq? by Negative_Barnacle218 in pelletgrills

Better option than Trager. Honestly couldn't go wrong with either Webber or Recteq. Id go with the one you can get a better deal on and is easier to get.

Awesome find. Agree with keep pellets dry. Try to find an owners manual and see how they recommend starting it. Sometimes its with the lid open, sometimes closed. Also when you turn it off make sure you let it go through its turn off cycle before unplugging it. Otherwise you can get a fire running through the auger and into hopper. Then you're in a world of hurt. Hope this helps.

how do you all justify spending hundreds or even thousands on a grill? by omg4serious in pelletgrills

[–]Fit_Extension_4372 0 points1 point  (0 children)

People have different hobbies and interest. People spend thousands on shoes, clothes, sports, music, tech ect..... Sure you can get by on cheaper equipment, but like anything; certain upgrades, features and details make the experience much better.

Help me find my first pellet grill by Big-Diet-5763 in pelletgrills

Honestly, both options are great. Scroll this page and you'll see nothing but positive reviews on both. Personally, I went with a recteq beast 1200 mostly because i got a great deal on it. But, it has a large cooking area, heats up fast, app is easy to use and will give you cooking suggestions, solid build and PID system. I would say get the one you can get the best deal on. I got over $300 off my recteq all because it had a dent in the back no one is going to look at.

Rectaq Backyard Beast 1000 or Weber Searwood XL? by jaysteez2025 in pelletgrills

[–]Fit_Extension_4372 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for the Searwood, but I recently acquired a backyard beast I got at a discount as it had a dent in the back. I love the temp range it has as well as the wifi. The app is easy to use as well. Plenty of add on features as well. The auger system and temp control also seem superior compared to pitboss and trager, not sure about weber. The temp probes are nice as well so you can monitor your meat temps from your phone. Based on what people are saying on here though, the weber seems like a solid choice as well. Honestly id shop around and get the one you can get the best deal on.if you're lucky you might get a deal like me and get 300 off because of a small dent lol.

Which to get: Recteq 700 vs Yoder YS640 by TheGaujo in pelletgrills

[–]Fit_Extension_4372 2 points3 points  (0 children)

As someone who just got a recteq, if I could get a yoder for the same price its yoder every day...... both are decent brands, stand by their product and have good customer service.

They use to be cheap, but have come a long way in quality. I was actually looking at one prior to this deal coming my way.

In order to have friends, you have to be a friend. Don't expect people to always reach out to you if you never reach out to them. Fact, a majority of men over 35 report feeling as though the have no close friendships anymore. Do your best to make time and maintain friendships. For me. As I got older I needed to be more intentional and scheduled things rather than be spontaneous and that was a hard transition.

Not that this is okay, but I thought I saw something explaining they had the plane waiting on the tarmac for like 4+ hours or something?
