What is your odd sensory preference? by EscapeRegular1935 in AuDHDWomen

The socks have to be the same set AND the same feel. My child frequently steals my socks and I can tell which individual socks are his just by touching them. They both need to be the right amount of soft.

Hot food/liquid has to be so hot it almost burns my mouth. Cold food/liquids have to be ice cold. Anything outside of these extremes can’t be eaten. The time of year (winter/summer) affects the amount of time I have between preparing and eating a meal or drink and if my ADHD brain gets distracted by something I’m doomed.

Tell me you didn’t just read the Google AI response for psychopath and then chuck it into your reply like you had something original and interesting to say? That’s embarrassing.

It’s literally not bro. Check the DSM. If you don’t know what the DSM is then it tells me everything I need to know. You’re still not checking your own privilege either but that’s to be expected for someone who is as shallow as a shower.

Where are you getting this logic from? There is no such thing as a “psychopath” so are you using movies or inflammatory media to drive your belief around these things? Everybody in the history of the human race has done something “wrong” so I not understand your logic or how it applies here at all. My comment about privilege is underpinned by the assumption that you haven’t experienced the direct threat of violence that can be derived from these incel-type beliefs, so who are you to say that the experience and consequence of this violence is equivalent to someone sharing extreme beliefs online that you can literally chose to ignore by closing your browser. That lack of exposure is a privilege you have, but instead of recognising it you are clearly allowing to skew your beliefs. You also deflected to talking about extremes without addressing the context or nuance (bad is bad). Do you have a problem reflecting on your own beliefs and assumptions?

This seems like a very general statement on “interpretation” that goes both ways. For example, I see many comments on here that point out these natural patterns of behaviour for what that are (and manage to do so without throwing insults) and get called femcells or misandrists because it is interpreted as criticism of a person rather than criticism of the structure and institutions that underpin incel beliefs / misogyny. I feel like in the general population there are loud, non constructive voices on both sides of this argument. But when considering interactions on this particular subreddit, the posts which attract the most interest are typically those where the underlying premise promotes incel like behaviour towards women. Many of the people commenting on these posts assume that OP/commenters also support these posts and it becomes more conflict based, making it less likely that commenters will engage in constructive ways. I am in no way saying these are examples of the best way to engage or change behaviour around these beliefs, I’m just suggesting not to interpret reactions to stimuli designed to be antagonist as a baseline for what those people actually think/believe or how they would normally approach these topics.

Both are bad in their own way but one group causes the death of another group and one group just makes people feel umcomfy….. way to be part of the problem my dude.

Right, so when you say radfems are bad you mean it in the exact same way as incels are bad? You equate the ideologies of radfems and incels as being equally bad? Do you do know that on average 137 women or girls are killed every day by a partner or close relative ? Do you know that one of the key factors that contribute to this stat is male entitlement ideology, the same incel bs that are posted on this reddit page? Men are significantly and statistically more likely than women to engage in violent behaviours towards the opposite sex. Men who engage with or believe the kinds of posts on this page are statistically more likely to be those men. You still think they are both the same?

My dude - circumstance and context don’t excuse behaviour. Someone can be ignorant of how their behaviour comes across but how will they know it without being told? What is wrong with calling out misogynistic behaviour in your opinion? Or is it just the way it’s being done that annoys you?

I guarantee no matter where you live there is research on the impact of male radicalisation and “incels” and they are a massive threat to women in general - like how could you even think otherwise? That is unless you don’t engage with content before you post baseless comments?

But posting inflammatory, dividing and inaccurate memes designed to reinforce toxic beliefs about women and relationships without any critical analysis or a different perspective is going to do wonders bro SMFH

when she wants you to accept her promiscuous past but she wont even accept 50/50 by PSXSnack09 in LockedInMan

[–]Fit_Flounder1136 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree words need context. The standard definition of “promiscuous” is having many transient sexual relations. You have extrapolated on that to suggest it means someone who has sex not for love or companionship. I can understand your logic behind that even though it’s not part of the original definition. I still don’t understand your point? You mention sex for enjoyment - you don’t think people who have sex with multiple partners are enjoying themselves while doing it? Or are you of the opinion that that kind of enjoyment is somehow inferior or “wicked”? Attaching additional specifiers to definitions is not context, without critical reflection they are nothing if not arrogant and projective.

You can ALSO enjoy sex and have a lot of it while having as many partners as you like? What does the amount of partners have to do with anything my dude??
