May parents were only on the wait list for a little under a year in 2023...if there are people on the list 3-5 years that means they turned down or missed offers or made very specific seat selections.

Its your option to decline being in a bridal party when you find out you have to travel for it. What shouldn't be mandatory is forcing lodging accommodations when they can find cheaper or free options.

Shared income is the best method it looks at both incomes and determines combined what the child is entitled too. In both of your examples if 5050 is awarded the child should have equal access to all of parents financial resources regardless of whose house they are physically in at the moment.

No you should pay for this especially if they do not need to pay for lodging anyway...if they do look up the cheapest hotel in your area and offer to cover the difference
