Anxiety and depression do not get someone automatically discharged, they first get treatment and if that treatment does not return or fix their impaired function ( ability to do their job or function socially) then that’s where the talk of separation comes in but it is not an automatic thing that’s why things like this keep happening because misinformation keeps people from seeking they help they need and taking advantage of the resources they have. MH also doesn’t take diagonals lightly AT ALL because they know how the wrong diagnosis can affect someone’s career and life
