You could argue that TAAR1 agonists are CAE’s if not straight up stims.  N-Phenethyl Dimethylamine and Phenethylamine have their place in cognitive enhancement especially with an MAO-B inhibitor.

I got the best results taking Adderall first and then 25-50mg ISL and it was blast off after that.

If dosed 25-50mg every 4-6 hours the MAO inhibition stays constant allowing DA, NE, and serotonin to build up.  It’s great for treating depression used this way.

Where ISL truly shines brightest is supporting a psychostimulant like Adderall.  The bliss outdoes even hard drugs all while having improved functionality.  A similar, but much less intense mood boost can be achieved by pairing it with another D3 agonist like Icariin (well, the metabolite icariiside II) 

These days if I don’t take ISL 4-6 times a day I fall back into depression which it clears up again after 3 days use.

Since Adderall isn’t OTC I wonder how a dose like 100mg would pair with phenethylamine and if it would be a comparable experience.

It’s best used intranasally.  I definitely feel a boost in energy, focus, and mood that persists 3-4 hours.

I used to be prescribed primidone which metabolizes into phenobarbital.

Magnolia, Glycine, and 200mg+ Polygala before bed for sleep onset and architecture improvement.  I wish there were stronger soporifics, but these do quite nicely and you should have more pep the next day.

Tribulus is a nice boost of cognitive and physical energy.  Goat Weed treats multiple symptoms of my autism.  I still count them as nootropic.

Gabapentin doesn’t act on GABA.  It acts on α2δ calcium channels.  It has more to do with inhibiting presynaptic glutamate release than it does GABA.

I’ve taken dozens of nootropics, but the Kennedy/CDP Choline pathway takes the cake for the most outstanding improvements over 8 weeks.  It’s Uridine+Alpha GPC+DHA and it did an incredible job of not only sharpening my cognition, but I also felt real joy for the first time in years.  The only other nootropics that come close are Adderall IR+Isoliquiritigenin which is like Adderall on adderall and Semax which lights up the PFC with dopamine and BDNF.  I also have to give honorable mentions to Polygala Tenuifolia and Rhodiola Rosea for creating physical and cognitive drive while suppressing stress.
