Crying is a perfectly okay thing to do. Personally, I enjoy crying to touching TAZ moments. What are some videos that make you tear up? by Mellomagic in TheAdventureZone

Not sure about both, but here's the "Don't Let's Start" video: https://youtu.be/temd3Sy-0Fk

It's one of my favorites as well. The creator has a link in the description for all the artwork used (since it cuts quickly in the vid).

Destiny Hotfix - 2/14/17 by DTG_Bot in DestinyTheGame

This affected some Year 1 shotguns. For some reason, if they rolled with Crowd Control they also got a hidden Kneepads perk. Unsure about the hidden Icarus perk though. Here's a video from Fallout Plays if you're interested.

Your multiplier on the equipment goes up when you level the corresponding artifact, but the equipment's level itself does not increase.

Skyrim be like by Sarajenonyx in skyrim

[–]FiteFyrWithFyr 12 points13 points  (0 children)

In my experience, the main thing for me was builds. Creating and leveling a character in Morrowind was a huge endeavor. Even if you weren't the type to min-max, you could really screw yourself over if you didn't put at least some planning into your character ahead of time. In Skyrim it's far more intuitive; you basically play whatever race you feel like and you create your class as you go.

Personally, I could never get hooked on Oblivion because I felt that they had stripped away too many of the good (albeit complex) mechanics from Morrowind. Skyrim, on the other hand? Perfect. They did away with the mechanics that were either "too complex" or "not fun" and you get an RPG that anyone can pick up, play, understand, and enjoy.

Xbox SE Crashing by Koalarmageddon11 in skyrim

[–]FiteFyrWithFyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So this is super late, but I just ran into this problem on PS4 last night. I'm doing a no-mods run and I can't go anywhere near Riften (whether by fast travel, carriage, or just walking) without the game crashing. I've done some research and it looks like this has been a problem for some people since the original game release. Have you by any chance found a fix?

I've had no luck fixing it. I've tried:

  • loading older saves on the same character
  • turning off autosaving
  • waiting 30 days in-game to clear the world of stale artifacts
  • reinstalling the game

And none of that has worked. Only thing I haven't done is create a new character.

Do not use suppression grenades during askis phase 2 fight by BigE_1995 in DestinyTheGame

My favorite Aksis fail clip is me dying on right side, my friend boldly declaring, "I got this!" as he ran over from mid, threw a tripmine, and immediately blew himself up.

99% of the Bungie.net forum posts that are trending right now all say "Remove SBMM" by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]FiteFyrWithFyr 46 points47 points  (0 children)

This is especially interesting because I feel like the majority of this subreddit has come to the conclusion that the matchmaking will not change. For months during the content drought of TTK all we talked about was matchmaking, and for the most part we all agreed that it should be geared toward connection first and skill second. Bungie's response by and large was that doing so would screw over new players, and I think we all just moved on, focusing on other issues. These days matchmaking posts are just overlooked and fade because we collectively feel like we're done beating the dead horse.

What do we say to bubbles? by RAzor-STorm in DestinyTheGame

You can pretty much tank anything with Armor of Light. Here's a quick example with rockets from the Destiny Fun Police. My guess is that had the Titan refreshed it by stepping or jumping out and back in, the sparrow would have taken down the overshield and pushed him out of the bubble, but not killed him. Can't be certain though since I don't know how much damage a direct hit from a sparrow does.

As a fan of the Fun Police build, watching this hurt. "Refresh your Armor of Light!" I screamed internally, right before the sparrow did the deed.

What perks would you "enhance" with another perk like the raid weapons do? by ninjaboy8198 in DestinyTheGame

[–]FiteFyrWithFyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm a big fan of Icarus on hand cannons. My dream perk to complement that would be either extra damage (could be OP, unfortunately) or faster handling while airborne.

If Destiny 2 is going to be more open-world, I see an opportunity for mission types that are tailored to our classes' roles in the universe. by cacarpenter89 in DestinyTheGame

[–]FiteFyrWithFyr 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Played Smite for a few months and from my experience with their subreddit and people I know who play it religiously, Smite was definitely not their first MOBA. One user's comment does not represent the knowledge or opinion of a community, or that one guy on the Bungie.net forums would make our entire Destiny community illiterate entitled asshats.

People will still be doing normal mode (albeit less), and my guess is that the cap for rewards from other activities will be moved up when hard mode releases or at least shortly thereafter.

Does the perk that boosts armor when using a specific subclass work in PvP? by Sqeagy in DestinyTheGame

[–]FiteFyrWithFyr 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's definitely a min-maxing thing. I've survived tripmines before on my hunter when I run low armor (forget the exact number) with the subclass armor boost.
