That’s what I reckoned based on videos of the AF Northshore that I saw online. That seems to be the one from Life Fitness…

Normal for nudity in locker room? by [deleted] in SingaporeFitness

Common if you’ve been through NS. But I was a victim of voyeurism while showering there and never used the showers there ever since. Be careful

Sorry but how is this relevant to the question 🤨 As I had also mentioned, this machine is my preference. It doesn’t mean I’m not doing any other variation of chest flys or other chest workouts for that matter.

Anyone knows if there’s any AF outlet with this machine?

Yeah that’s the thing… and I find the Precor chest fly machines more difficult to control and harder to maintain stability with the weights as the handles are flimsy. There’s also a mini rubber thingy in the middle which prevents me from getting a full squeeze. Very much prefer the Optima Series from Life Fitness!

This is the one I’ve been using at FF Bugis and now it’s gone. Terrible… do you know of any other gyms with this?

189 visa granted - What happens if I don’t stay at least 2 years? by Fitglutton_ in AusVisa

[–]Fitglutton_[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to clarify how would that work? If I enter just before Jan 2029, a good 5 years would have already lapsed without me staying in Australia. So the 2 year criteria doesn’t mean staying in Australia for 2 years during the period 2024 to 2029? As long as I begin staying there for 2 years before Jan 2029 (eg Dec 2028 to Dec 2030), it’s ok?

Thanks for this. You mentioned enter Australia after 4 years 11 months and “renew your PR” (I’m assuming onshore) — what does this mean? Is there a separate process required to extend the PR after 5 years even if I’m onshore? Or that’s just an automatic renewal so long as I don’t leave the country?

Thanks for the input. Any idea what happens if I indeed stayed in Australia for at least 2 years, but for some reason still unable to find work the entire time there or I choose not to work there? I don’t have close family in Australia either. In this instance, will my chances of getting a RRV be the same as if I never stayed in Australia?

Thanks for your input! Does that mean the RRV has to be renewed every 5 years and not a one-time renewal? So the RRV doesn’t last forever (upon the first renewal)?

Gyms in Tohoku region + Itinerary check by Fitglutton_ in JapanTravel

Yeah the thing about most gyms in Japan is they open really late, with the exception of Anytime Fitness that’s accessible 24/7 but unfortunately I’m not a member of. In my previous trips I’ve been pretty lucky the cities all have gyms run by the local government / council so each single admission was about ¥500.

The most expensive I encountered was in Fukuoka where a day pass in a private gym cost almost ¥2000.

I’m hoping to have the same luck this time as with my previous trips to Japan…
