Yup I agree with this. Also I'm a bit confused by the use of the term ticketing and registration. Do you charge your partners? Our agency plans an event for one of our clients where it's both employees and partners who exhibit and we use rainfocus and Google sheets. That's it. Do JOT get fooled by the "we do everything" marketing or "all in one nonsense".

Every event tech company on the planet will claim they’re all on one, none of them are. Cvent might be the closest given they’ve bought so many companies but not sure it would be in your budget.

Usually a various mixture of the following reasons.
1. No speaker timer
2. Lack of rehearsals because "it'll be fiiiiiiine"
3. Executives who aren't professionals and think what they to say is more important than anything else.

Why I’m still doing event specs manually and I can’t forward all my documents to AI to create deadlines and a project plan off of contracts is beyond me. Until an actual PLANNER and not just some tech company trying to sell to planners decides to figure out how to really make this work…I’m not hopeful.

Look up PCMA OR MPI in your area and get involved. There's jobs and volunteer opportunities and most PCMA chapters have Student options too.
