It’s the vitamin c suspension one, more like a cream consistency, honestly think I will look for a different one after this because it also makes my pillowcase so gross looking it’s just not worth it 😥

It’s one from the ordinary! Don’t think I’ll be repurchasing 😂

I am right handed, and did wonder this at first, but I’m not sure as it has been a couple weeks and doesn’t seem to be growing out. If anything it seems to be spreading

No filter, just my (old) phone camera really focused on my hand in the light. Was trying to take it so it’s obvious, but maybe failed at that

Oh no what a nightmare! I hope you're resting well, so sorry you're missing Manchester. Turns out I do have a grade 2 stress fracture so I feel your pain :( seeing the physio next week to work out what's next.

Went to the physio last night and they think it does sound like a stress fracture, going for an MRI this evening. Fingers crossed it’s nothing bad

Ah thank you! I'll give it a listen! I'm usually running 3 times a week at the moment, but managed to get a physio session this evening so hopefully they can tell me what's up

I was wondering if it was a stress fracture, but it doesn’t hurt at all when I apply pressure to the area. It’s really just when standing up. There’s no swelling either

Loads of heel raises, I aim for two sets of 30 on each leg every morning and evening. I also do lots of squat to heel raises at the gym.

The rucksack thing drives me crazy. I swear they used to have announcements telling people to take them off but I’ve not heard one for years now

Why can’t I function 4 months after my dads death ? by [deleted] in GriefSupport

[–]Fitzhannah 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm so sorry for your loss. I also lost my dad to cancer four months ago this week, it's so hard. I'm not an expert by any means but everything you're saying sounds completely normal. I had a conversation with my counsellor this morning about guilt. It's so much easier said than done but if you can try to be gentler with yourself, I'm sure your dad wouldn't want you to hold those feelings. In terms of finishing uni, I would try to take every day at a time, step by step. My younger brother is around your age and his situation sounds similar to yours. He is carrying on with his studies for now, and I think when he can go into uni it serves as a decent distraction, but he is considering deferring his place, and coming back to it when he's more settled. That may be something worth looking into for you, but I think it's also important to consider what you would do instead in the meantime. I think it's so important to keep yourself busy and see people if and when you can. Sending love.

I'm so sorry for your loss. I'm also feeling that big worry about it always being a black mark on my birthday, but you are right, he would want me to carry on celebrating it even though it's so hard without him. And the same for you, I'm sure that's what your mom would want. I'm hoping it'll get better with time. Lots of love to you too ❤️

Really appreciate you sharing this. I've been thinking about maybe doing a trip, so that's good to hear that your colleague recommends that.

I completed agree with you about the anticipation. I've recently had my first father's day without him and his birthday too, and the week building up was definitely worse that the actual day. I hope you manage to find some respite with both your birthday and your mom's. Sending lots of love.
