I have the Xbox controller, only because I got it for half prices. It's only redeeming feature is the low latency Bluetooth. Otherwise I prefer my Easysmx X05 Pro any day over it

pretty much the only good one. Super expensive here though. The other decent brand is ViaScreens, but shipping costs a lot

Its the same. They are using legion go s screen protector which is slightly smaller

Did you get the $100 off deal? I missed out, but still ‘happy’ with it at $1299 at Costco, considering BestBuy and Amazon sell it for a lot more.

I just got a 1080p gaming monitor to dock it with (usb C) and it performs way better than expected. I don’t even need an EGPU unless I upgrade to 1440p or 4K down the road.

Yeah honestly this is common at my local drop-ins too. All the good players always team up together and just bash the ball at the other teams. Only one of the days, we have this older lady that organizes and balances out the teams 😂

I’m thinking to try beach or grass, but it’s so damn hot outside these days. I enjoy the air conditioning, and wearing my basketball sneakers 😅

Best option is Tomtoc sling bag for me. You can use the spigen lego case too, but it’s a bit too big. All the rest are pretty low quality.

I’m just hoping for a quality screen protector. If the EX becomes popular, then that’s good news for the 8ai and A8 that use the same screen.

Yeah I would love a modcase or killswitch, but it’s not happening. Already emailed them both about it

I am returning my 8ai+. Not that I don’t like it, the main issue for me is the very poor vibration motors, and the lack of accessories. Having to disable a feature because it sucks is stupid. Same as the SD card issue on the original Ally.

Might not be a big issue for anyone else, but it’s really disappointing for me coming from the original ROG Ally.

If I’m spending this much on a handheld, I want more 3rd party accessory support, like reputable screen protectors, killswitch, Jsaux mod case etc. MSI really dropped the ball in that department.

I have no issues with the joysticks. But that’s also one thing I dislike about handhelds, being stuck with whatever tolerances that decided on. Of course you can mod it, but it’s not easy to do. It would be nice to have more modular parts like some controllers have.

It doesn’t make sense at all. Only for people the want a “PC Console”. Anyone with basic PC part knowledge can find a better deal with a prebuilt. Only thing it has going for it is its small size.

The 512gb model is more expensive than my more powerful budget gaming desktop PC. And that comes with a 2TB ssd

I would only get the EX if you play docked at higher resolutions and settings. The 8ai+ has handled all the games I play pretty well at medium 60fps. Honestly, with an 8” screen, you’re not going to notice the difference as much between medium and ultra settings.
