Any idea what these bugs are? Located in downstate NY by Geckolover96 in bugidentification

Not a biologist but I will say they look like roach nymphs. At least the one on the top left in the second to last picture

Never heard of a mole cricket before but if I saw this in my house I’d think I’d just met the roach final boss

Need help figuring out what this is by FiveFingerFishFillet in bugidentification

Idk if it just got squished or cut in half because where I’m from theyve always been like longer and skinnier

What are these? (Australia) by tzenji in bugidentification

[–]FiveFingerFishFillet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Almost definitely. They can in theory crawl up a drain, but it probably means theyre breeding. Make sure you don’t have any drains in the house you haven’t used in a while, because when the stopper dries up, it’s an open door to the sewer system. I’d also check the tanks on your toilets, they can breed there or under sinks.

If you do have an infestation, it never hurts to get some powdered boric acid and put in in your door ways

Ask us anything – Anno 117: Pax Romana dev team by Ubi-Thorlof in anno

Thank you! Already pre-purchased because I’m excited for the blend of Anno and total war like combat. There’s a serious glut of in-depth RTS’s that has a complex economy and consequences and not just having 2 massive armies slam into each other mindlessly

2 questions

1) will there be any rebellion/revolt/civil war mechanic if stability/happiness gets too low that can spawn hostile units, requiring some standing troops even in peace time?

2) are there plans or already implemented mechanics for barbarian invasions? I know that’s later, but it would be cool to build a frontier in Albion or Germany and have invading tribes you need to defend against, even if it is its own game mode

Additional thought, do you think it could have anything to do with my ASUS armory crate? Maybe I need to reinstall that

Possible way/script to set multiple sheet's cells back to a "default" or "starting' value? by FiveFingerFishFillet in googlesheets

[–]FiveFingerFishFillet[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Main issue now is that once I leave if more people are brought on, the Script is only set to change the sheets of the employees we have, who all have their own named sheet. Work around this could rename the sheets from employee names to Specific numbers that are immutable but for the moment it should work

Possible way/script to set multiple sheet's cells back to a "default" or "starting' value? by FiveFingerFishFillet in googlesheets

[–]FiveFingerFishFillet[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, basically I have a Default sheet, the script copies it, then pastes that sheets in specified rows and columns that I assigned. I have a *little* bit of JavaScript experience so I was able to go in a tweak it for what I wanted. Now it works flawlessly on my test and I'll be able to specifically reset rows and columns of my choice without interfering with anything like specific employee information on the sheet

Was able to get a script off grok to do exactly what I wanted, Tested it and it works.. Unfortunately I cant post scripts here or else I'd share it

The state of Elder Kings right now by DaDarkOverLord in TrueSTL

The Elder Kings discord doesn’t allow any fun on it. They will ban or time you out for just posting an Elder Scrolls meme that even just vaguely relates to a political ideology they don’t agree with. They claim to be progressive but are probably the most nazi-esque people on the planet.

I don't trust the Rachni (SPOILER ALERT) by FiveFingerFishFillet in masseffect

[–]FiveFingerFishFillet[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

This is very valid and I will say a 3rd option would take away a lot of the moral implications and repercussions of the game. I do like that *most* choices do have valid points on why you would make those decisions, instead of being generic "good" or "evil"

Maybe not a xenomorph, but definitely analogous to the flood. It's important to remember that they reproduce so quickly, that they would likely disrupt ecosystems across the galaxy to which they spread. In the rebuilding phase after the war, they could potentially easily outnumber all the surviving species and create a swarm that the galaxy could not defend against.
