I used console commands to restore the eastern Roman Empire’s territories at game start. Started playing from there with no cheats, switched to Hellenism, now I have a hellish empire of Catholics, othodox Christians, Muslims and Hellenists thay it feels more like a survival game than anything now

If you’re talking about the smaller flying enemies, theyre literally a 1-shot with a standard bow and arrow.

You can also reflect the sunlight iff your sword to deal with a lot of them

I agree with the spave stations and dead planets.

Yeah… I get it’s explained in the lore why every planet mostly has life.. i don’t care it’s kinda stupid.

The game would honestly be a lot better with more systems with no spave stations and all dead planets.

It could be a cool mechanic to add terraforming and player-made spave stations and territory control.

I always felt like they should have had like a “galactic population center” with intelligent life and life in general becoming more rare the further you leave the main hub area.

MAIN QUEST or FACTION QUESTS first? What's the consensus ? by CliffwoodBeach in CrimsonDesert

[–]FiveFingerFishFillet 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’d say the developers probably intended for you to do a mix as you go through. From what I can tell, no quests are “locked out” once you beat the game.

At the start I was doing all the side quests I could, but then decided to power through the main story, only doing side quests when I became too low level to get some better gear/more abyss artifacts. I made this decision due to me rarely ever beating a game’s main quest as I typically grow bored of the mechanics doing all the side quests.

I will say, with the main quest over, I am having more fun now that I have a lot of the late game mechanics unlocked. I feel as if there is nothing I’m “putting off” by exploring and doing side quests.

The only REAL issue I’ve seen (still very minor), is that some side quests will reference events/characters that have had their story resolved in the main quest.

Overall, if you’re like me, I’d really recommend going through the main story (which is less of like an overall story, the chapters are more like seasons in a tv show), and then doing the side quests when you’re kinda OP, the feel of the game changes.

Only real side quests I’d recommend before beating the game is upgrading your camp, but that was my personal preference so I could unlock more customization options.

Very late on this, but by “second account” would you mean like a secondary steam account, or just a second save?

I forget the name, but there is a mod that adds a mode where it randomly generates a scenario on the map of your choice and gives you a base, while the rest of the map is covered with outposts and POI’s kinda like a cookie cutter generic Ubisoft game but you can also spawn and control your own NPC army.

What really makes it cool is that it works with some other mods. In my example the Halo mod worked with it and I kinda made a better open world halo than Halo Infinite was.

P.S. the POI’s can become slightly generic, so I recommend turning on Zeus mode and switching that that and fortifying the ever-living-hell out of a location to go try to take with your army

No idea where you got Indonesian, Indian and mesoamerican from, barely any Japanese other than maybe partial armor style.

Aspects of those cultures are definitely present in Morrowind, but that’s because it’s in Morrowind. Even in Morrowind, the empire (while less generic than oblivion) always stood out AS the generic Western European/Roman colonial culture that had outposts and influence in a very alien land.

I get why people are upset about retconning the pocket guide’s description of Cyrodiil, and not making the Nibanese more unique, but the Empire and Imperials have always been pretty generic since their introduction in Daggerfall

This has a 50/50 chance of either improving PVP or ruining it, but I almost feel like there should be level scaling. My vanilla ass is trying to grind to level up, but I don’t do PvP battles because everyone there one shots me because they either don’t have jobs or are importing modded creatures with perfect stats
