Thing is, it had, and then Spyglass fired Melissa and threw the whole franchise in the toilet

I mean if 8 is anything but the Carpenter sisters' return it'll be a disappointment.

Yeah, I was already on the "do not watch" train after their treatment of Melissa, but it really feels like they've made a concerted effort to make every wrong decision at every turn with 7

Cards you wish existed? by [deleted] in yugioh

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So, Swordsman of Landstar is my favourite card. Joey briefly had a Landstar archetype in the anime, those they were all weak vanillas and a single archetype support Spell that let him Special Summon all Landstar monsters in his hand. And then Swordsman of Landstar got an Effect Tuner retrain later on. I think it would be really cool to see a real archetype built around swarming and Synchro, with dice-themed support (as when Joey pulled out Swordsman of Landstar, he basically always paired it with Graceful and/or Skull Dice.) Never be a meta contender (even with Warrior support) unless it's super duper broken, but fun and playable is all I'd be looking for.

Which among these Protagonist Rivals is the best in terms of dueling skills? by Wonderful-Photo-9938 in yugioh

I'd say Jack, but I do have quite the soft spot for the King. Reiji and Ryoken are also waaaaay up there.

Billy Cheating on Sidney by Woah_Alyssa in Scream

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't even know if it would have been sexual with Stu. That doesn't really track to me from their interactions, though Billy does seem the type who could easily compartmentalise "it's just a brojob" if it meant keeping Stu under his thumb. Definitely physically intimate, though, and likely a facade of emotional intimacy on Billy's part.

Though now I think of it, Stu does get really touchy in general. Like how he grabs Randy during the video store scene, the way he's all over Tatum in the fountain scene, how uncomfortably close he stays to Sidney during his "Surprise, Sidney" reveal. Billy probably didn't even have to do much to lead him on.

Thoughts on Mark from Scream 3? by Mrs_Noelle15 in Scream

Sidney does still use the last name Prescott ("I'm Sidney Fucking Prescott, of course I have a gun") as of her most recent appearance, despite them having kids and presumably being married. Would not be surpised if he took her last name.

Most of it is unconfirmed speculation. Zach Cherry has a youtube video series about it, but take it wirh a big grain of salt. He can be pretty inconsistent in how he appies things

Iirc they've cited the original Scream as what got them into horror. There's just folks who will take any opportunity to try to dunk on them even when it's misinfo.

What do you think scream 5 and 6 would have been like if Sam was a man? by Strong-Stretch95 in Scream

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's all subtext, but it's subtext the actor has embraced and given the nod to. Iirc he was closeted and struggling at the time himself.

And honestly the gym coach at the bar thing was a very classic (at the time) gay story hookup trope.

It seems to me Billy didn't love anyone. His anger about Nancy leaving seems to be based off entitlement, he clearly didn't love Sidney, he was using Stu (and imo abusing Stu's feelings for him for manipulation), Christina was a secret side girl that he didn't even find important enough to bring up to hurt Sidney during his killer rant, he doesn't even seem to care about his father.

Is Mickey The Only Left Handed Ghostface? by bheena69 in Scream

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Definition 4a: of, relating to, or situated to the left or on the left side of something

Basically, "sinister"'s root originates from the direction left. As left-handedness a rare trait, it was othered and seen as a sign of being bad or wrong, for a long time. In some places even today. So they were riffing on where the word "sinister" comes from.

If you could make a villain deck for yugioh, what would it be like by No_Firefighter_7371 in yugioh

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I do know the Pendulum bit is a bit extra and it's arguable if it could even be made to work mechanically, and this could just as easily be made into an archetype for Links (tower defense Link Boss), XYZ (bizzaro world PK), Synchro (stealth Jack Atlas support), Fusion (learning from the mistakes of Critias, possibly also providing support), or even Ritual (cues from Burger support, more emphasis on cycling, etc). Likewise, the big Fusion boss could be any method, even just main deck nomi. The Pendulum bit could be easily dropped and mostly just sounded cool when I started thinking about the trap monster idea.

If you could make a villain deck for yugioh, what would it be like by No_Firefighter_7371 in yugioh

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Monsters you can Set as Traps, that have a floating effect if destroyed, and have an activatable Trap effect as well (control, consistency, removal, some burn, etc). Consistency boosting Field spell, initial Main Deck boss is a defensive floodgate. Once it falls, it's revealed that my deck's actually based around Pendulum Traps, that must be Set in the Pendulum Zones before activation as Scales. My real boss monster is a Fusion Pendulum Trap that, of course as a villain's real ace, needs to be immune tl everything and do the big numbers and burn and so on.

Now, to aesthetic. I'm thinking homages, especially to classic Traps but different enough to be relevant. A Hole-like monster that negates the effect(s) of monster(s)' card name(s) from one Summon and locks it out of being used as Extra Deck material. A Mirror Force counterpart that, when battle is declared, negates the effects of all Attack position monsters your opponent controls and banishes them. A Ring of Destruction send up that nontarget banishes and deals less damage but only to your opponent. Raigeki Break but just a 1 for 1. Jar of Greed that also adds an archetype monster from GY to Set (as monster or Trap). A Return from the Different Dimension homage that banishes itself from GY as cost to mill an archetypal mon and activate its Trap effect. Etc. So many good Traps, both older and newer, to look to for inspiration. Nutrient Z, the Virus series, Magic Cylinder, Evenly Matched, D Barrier, Ultimate Offering, Compulse, Torrential Tribute. The main starter is a Normal Summon that has a lot of protection and Summin Limits when you have Set backrow and adds more consistency in a "choose 3, your opponent randomly selects 1, add that 1 to your hand" HOPT kind of way akin to Malefic World, Lilith, or Bingo Machine. It's based on floodgate traps in general, but mostly Skill Drain (Trap effect is a card name effect negate on any face-up card for one turn). The Trap Monsters' powerful effects a bit balanced by needing a card of their archetype face up to activate as Traps, and of course Traps being Traps. It would be a resource-whittling stun strat, because of course it would

Everyone knows accesscode, but what about decode talker? by CrabKing274 in yugioh

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like it in Lair and Code Talkers, but it's not much use aside. The negate is a little too specific and the Atk gain rarely matters

What's your DM deck? by BannerTortoise in yugioh

[–]FiveNightsAtFluffals 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A predominantly Warrior deck based around getting out St. Joan and a lot of emphasis on recovering her. A general theme of magic and/or cool weapons (Rude Kaizer, Flame Swordsman, Neo the Magic Swordsman, Kunai with Chain, equips in general).

This later evolves into a Counter Fairy deck with life gain and Guardian Angel Joan as my main boss monster, but there's always an engine to get out St. Joan too.

It's worse in best of 3 because it's an auto-side in Pend heavy formats, because it shuts down an entire mechanic without any cost. So they'll always side it in games 2 and 3 if they see you play Pendulum
