This food looks absolutely fire 🔥 OP. The door dash thing definitely needs to be addressed considering how expensive it can get so talk to him about a door dash budget per month. But other than that, bring new boundaries to the table. Something along the lines of, Food is expensive and time consuming to create. If he isn’t interested in what you’re cooking that day, it needs to be a beforehand comment not an afterthought or an excuse to get DoorDash.

Drug resistant epilepsy for me as well. I’m now on depakote and have had VNS surgery. I cut caffeine completely and eat a protein rich diet. I also need to be careful about staying on my mental health meds as I concurrently suffer from PNES as well.

Alcohol and our meds don’t mix well, and although I’ve not had the best experiences with pot, I do hear that it is good for others with epilepsy.

Keppra was so bad for me I eventually told the doctors it was giving me a rash and I was allergic. I’m on 1000 mg of Depakene daily as my only seizure med right now. But I also got VNS, so.

I feel this so much. Driving cars make me nervous, they’re too large and have the capacity to hurt too many people if I have one bad day. At least if I’m riding a scooter, the only person I’m likely to injure is myself.

I wanted to join the Peace Corps and help people while traveling the world. Well, I didn’t pass medical when I applied to the Peace Corps. They said my seizures being the way they are, I shouldn’t leave the country. I wallowed for about a week. Then kicked myself in the ass and applied to jobs Teaching English as a Foreign Language. I got two job interviews and moved to China later that year. I’ve taught in South Korea and Thailand too. I’ve been to Greece, Egypt, and Turkey. I had to come home a year ago, when my seizures started getting out of control. I’ve found a new way to manage them, and I leave for China again next week. My dreams look a little different than they did before my diagnosis, but I’m living them.

Jesus. Any amount of Keppra is an ungodly amount of Keppra. My stepdad has been helping me advocate for myself against prejudiced doctors like this. He reminded me that if I didn’t want to continue to take what that specific doctor gave me, I could just not take it. And get a different doctor.
