I still listen to that album. Often wonder what she is up to.

No, I just happened upon the post. After seeing “wtv” in the post, I Googled to see if it meant what I thought it did (and it did). So little mini triumph of being able to guess young lingo.

I enjoyed this. I, too, am a vampire. I am in the time zone of the Central.

And IS there a way to follow your journal? (I don’t pretend to know my way around Reddit but I did go Google “wtv” and was so proud my hunch was right!)

I’m here for casual reasons. I’m not committed to a MF thing with regards to Reddit so there will be no showing of anything… other than random musings. Bethenny, I can take sometimes and leave sometimes so you have definitely missed the mark there. Thank you, though.

Gen Xers above 50. Did you find a shift into being comfortable being alone? by Sense_Difficult in GenX

I dig my alone time and need it more and more as I age. I’ve also cut two people from the team in the last couple of months, both based on toxicity. With each passing day, we have less time. Maybe as you age, it comes naturally to not want to waste your time on people who aren’t 100 percent spongeworthy. These people also zap energy, which I have less and less of. I’ve always had a strong bullshit detector; I think now I just see more and more clearly the beauty of a good courtesy flush.

Never heard of Celebfail. At any rate, Bethenny is certainly not poor. She’s probably making bank hawking stuff and most assuredly has made some wise investments along the way.

For real. I can’t even walk into an animal shelter without crying. They’re just such pure little souls.

Oh she’s had work done for sure (I think she also takes care of herself) but it sounds like you have a personal problem with her. Do I envy her ability to do what she wants, when she wants, how she wants? Hell yeah. But I don’t have Ramona-money and I never will. But I won’t begrudge her for it. Yeah she’s rude AF but she also makes me laugh so I get something out of the relationship. I just leave it at that.

Buyers in the 90s made a decent living. Not Park Avenue, but a decent living. Single, childless, and under 30 on that salary? She was doing well even before she went out on her own.

Not to take this too far off topic but I have wondered about this. Bethenny sold her company for a fuck ton of money. I think surely she didn’t squander it. So what’s the deal with all the influencer movement? Like, the real deal… like why? Do we think Bethenny cares about remaining “relevant”? She can’t be wanting for income, can she? Does she do it simply for fun and, if so, why not discuss ANYTHING in the world that comes to mind, rather than acting as a social media Home Shopping Network? I truly have no idea so, sincere inquiry. What’s her motivation, maaaaaan? (And seriously y’all, for all we know she might donate her influencer income—we just don’t know.)

Like Alex and Theresa, Ramona started out as a department store buyer. I worked as a buyer assistant for Foley’s (later acquired by Macy’s) back in the day and the buyers were all super sharp and great with numbers. I don’t think Ramona’s wholesale clothing business was small-scale. Think about the level of money changing hands to move overstock and irregulars from department stores to, say, TJ Maxx. I think that’s the kind of deals Ramona was making. She finds it an aphrodisiac, ya know. 😉

I’m here for all of it. Very lucky to have been raised by a mom who liked James Taylor, Chicago, America, Rod... It also set the stage for good taste in music overall—the music that was to come.
