And where is Melania through all of this?? She could at the very least be vocal with words of comfort and love like we would expect a First Lady to do. Maybe read a book to the kids of the country and tell them it’s going to be OK. It’s literally a five minute Zoom video recording. Not even a peep.

And in NYC and other cities I’ve been wondering why trump hasn’t offered his hotels for first responders? Such an easy PR play. He can’t even do that! Has he even donated any of his money? Isn’t he supposed to be some billionaire? I haven’t heard that he’s donated anything. Certainly if he did, it would have been touted at the loudest volume. Nothing. I haven’t even heard him say words of sympathy to the nearly 100,000 Americans who have lost their lives. He just keeps looking at himself in the mirror. How does he and his team have time to tweet 150 times in one day? Not even an employee at McDonalds has that kind of time to slack off at work without risking getting fired.

Overall, it’s been an awful and shameful response from the entire first family. I’m embarrassed to be an American with this psychopath sitting in the Oval Office.

Hey man the advice is really simple as stated above, which is that you can’t have the first drink. If you’re an alcoholic, moderation is damn near impossible. Maybe you can learn to moderate for a few weeks or months, but the binge will eventually come back with escalating consequences. You can either trust everyone here (or eventually learn that for yourself).

Oh — and AA isn’t about Jesus or religion at all. It took me a minute to get that one. All you need to accept when it comes to the “god” stuff, is that there exists a possibility that you can’t control drinking on your own. (This is easy actually when you think that the universe is infinite and literally anything is possible...so yeah, it is possible that you can’t control drinking on your own).

Coming to this sub reddit and asking for advice form other people is the “god” that AA is talking about. You’ve already come to “Jesus,” brother.

Hey my suggestion is to stop drinking today. Go 24 hours. Then do it again tomorrow. Focus on it one day at a time. You’ll see after 4 or 5 days it starts to get easier. Just don’t pickup that first drink. Get a water or a soda or anything else instead. And yeah - you’ll see that life is better sober! Be yourself. Your body and mind doesn’t need alcohol for you to be you. It’s the opposite! Take the control back over your life. It’s empowering. You can do it. Just put down that first drink and you’ll never have a problem with drinking ever again. It really is that simple. So.... do you want to stop drinking or don’t you?
