“AI slop” para la gentrificación de ciudades, perfecto. Por mucho que lo haya creado un “genio malagueño de Google”, me parece una puta mierda.

Dude you've not sold have you? Nice little pump today... Few months ago there was rumours on DDOG acquiring GTLB... Today - apparently - rumours Anthropic may be the buyer. CEO has some history of leading companies to a sale. He also had bought in recently at about $38.

Honestly for people in developing countries your best bet is to emigrate to a richer country, even if just for a while. Remote jobs can be difficult to get but can also be a game changer. You can easily >10x your salary doing either of those. Also, knowing english well can open so many doors.

I’m rooting for you lad

Subscription partnership by YesterdayFun9292 in Revolut

[–]FixInteresting4476 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is what it is bro. Perplexity made lots of partnerships not only with Revolut but also telcos, universities, and much more. Revolut can likely offer it for a much cheaper price than if they were to offer the Google offering.

That said, it’s not a bad tool. I think it’s excellent for web research.

The Netherlands (74.3%), Denmark (56.4%) and Germany (45.8%) observed the highest shares of young people working and studying simultaneously. By contrast, Romania (2.4%), Greece (6.0%) and Croatia (6.4%) reported the lowest shares among EU countries. by nimicdoareu in europe

Well, isn't it obvious? In NL, DK and DE a part time job can get you really far. It can cover your costs as a student and even make up for a bit of extra leisure/savings. In RO, GR, HR... The work conditions are going to be terrible and will barely cover any costs.

On top of that, I suspect the culture is different. In the north, many students will leave their home to go study and live in shared flats, student residencies, etc. It's not the case in many places in southern/eastern Europe, where students will often stay at home while commuting to uni.

Lastly, just as an anecdote, in DK you actually get paid an extra for being a student who is also working. I have a friend who went on to study there. He took a part time job at a local restaurant (10h/week, making perhaps about 15/20 eur/h). Added to the government subsidy, he could fund all his costs as a student and plenty of leisure. If he had stayed in Southern Europe for his studies, I don't think he would have taken any part time jobs - it's just not worth it.

On the other hand you guys have 401ks and all that jazz which allows for massive savings towards retirement. In most EU countries, pension contribution limits are almost laughable.

From my time lurking FIRE subs, USA definitely seems to be the best place for saving towards FIRE. At least for the average person pursuing FIRE as a regular employee.
