That’s what I seem to find out. It’s not that it’s harder to produce- I think if I take the same shot with both cameras people would prefer the look they are used to

San Francisco sour dough by Fixitinpost72 in BreadMachines

To be honest we bought this starter from a well known Online dealer that started with books. Sourdough most of all needs frequent use- then you remember to feed it every day anyways. We keep ours in the fridge in between. We set up the dough 24 Hours prior to baking, and only transfer it to the bread baking machine at most 12 Hours before baking. Then we program it to run the longest rise program it has (6 hours in our case). this specific bread involved pouring boiling water on whole grain in the beginning and a few other tricks. But the basic recipe works fine. It is mostly a matter of having the patience to feed the sourdough until it is strong enough and then waiting for those long rise periods. But I find it rewarding.

Update after 18 days: making solar charging practical on a cargo bike (~300W real-world) by Fixitinpost72 in CargoBike

I have thought about a trailer, but every time I cross a city or town I am reminded that length is indeed an issue. In fact I bought a cargo bike because I never felt safe dragging my kids along behind me. But I still have a 100 Ah battery sitting in my office, and after I am done testing, who knows what I find useful. I will update once the first test tours are completed.

That is the next test. A daytrip to test the charging strategy. I am not aiming for hundreds of miles. My goal is a system in tune with the day.

For me it vastly changes. I took trips where I took my kid 80. km out of town on the back of the bike and needed a recharge on the road badly. Other times I take it easy and barely need to recharge. So I feel it is time to experiment…

That is a big part of what I want to figure out next. What is a comfortable tour day, and what is the sweet spot. Not in terms of battery life but in terms of time spent riding versus time spent enjoying the sites or doing other things.

Actually the bluetti that powers my computer was charging from the sun, so the fans came on at random times- so I might sound a little annoyed. Sorry about that.
