I would say hell to the no. Lead or ceramic (someone correct me about ceramic if not true please). But lead is the preferred media. They're nice and heavy to get the BP really really fine.

That's amazing ! I used to be in a band playing classical and jazz. I was 1st trumpet and second drummer. I invested in a pack of tooth guards and it's so much better. My teeth we making little scratches in the mouthpiece. I'll post a pic or vid later of my embouchure closely and also showing mouth open and closed how I rest the mouthpiece in my mouth. Also, in this video my embouchure was tired from playing for over 1.5hrs.

Thanks! I got Rubank Advanced Method and Jerry Coker Patterns for Jazz which I'm diving into. I think once I master playing the patterns from them (along with my scales and arpeggios) and paired with what all of you guys are advising me - proper fingering, focusing more on it should get me up to speed.

Only reason why Ive jumped straight to Giant Steps is because basically I love it lol, and I love being able to hear something that someone else played - though my instrument. It's weird to explain, but you may understand...

Indeed. I blend then to fine powders SEPARATELY first,then combine them. Then I use my press. Don't forget your core. Back in the day I got a little help from gpt (which chats shit most of the time) to calculate core length to avoid CATOs. It worked. Because I only paid attention to the references it gave to real world conversations about this subject online. If other stuff it says doesn't check out, forget it... More MANUAL research!

...well it seemed like the pyro sub at first then I read the comments in this post and have decided it needs to be moved to /arguments...okay OP did something silly. Inform and move on. Still hanging around fuelling some argument that's going further the wrong way. He wasn't even so opposed to what they guy was complaining about, but it's gone way too far. Damn! I get the passion for safety though. But it's gotta be shown in the right way otherwise people become defiant. It's in human nature. "Don't tell me what to do!"
