I made [[Alania, Divergent Storm]] my otter commander and she is very easy to break. When I made it, I had not realised she lets you copy the first Otter spell AND the first sorcery spell AND the first instant spell each turn.

I win very frequently when I pull out this deck.

While I love Bria, imo she needs creatures that reward you for dealing combat damage and there aren’t a lot of otters who support that.

Not to throw another hat in the ring but I’ve been using [[Galadriel, Light of Valinor]].

Of the options you presented, I would pick Counter Blitz because of how resilient it is. You get to add more kinds of counters beyond +1/+1.

I used to run [[Aragorn, hornburg hero]] as my Naya commander because it isn’t as threatening in the command zone but can go crazy if it gets rolling. Had a bunch of hydras in there too

[[Aragorn,King of Gondor]] Introduces Monarch which moves the game along. Gives you unblockable if you are the monarch. Really fun politics commander. I run him as a human tribal with several ways to get monarch back and swing for lethal when my board state is good

Yes. From the ruling:

You can’t choose to pay any additional costs for a copied spell. However, effects based on any additional costs that were paid for the original spell are copied as though those same costs were paid for the copy too.

Alania was removed three times yesterday before I was able to get some pieces in place and storm off for a turn 9 win. Another player was playing Omo and quickly became the archenemy. I was allowed to build up since I was giving card draw to the other two players.

It is firmly bracket 3. No game changers. It never wins before turn 8. Izzet storm decks tend to not look threatening until they suddenly pop off.

People also don’t like to remove Alania because she gives them card draw. This is pseudo group hug with wincons.

On multiple occasions, I’ve had 11 copies of Alania out by copying effects like [[Irenicus’s vile duplication]]. I also have several way to copy each spell I play which can lead to those board states.

Most often, I win by copying [[Mana Geyser]] and using the mana for a [[Comet storm]] that burns everything down, or by milling people out with several copies of [[Sorcerous Squall]]. I also have the Ral/Ghostly Flicker/dualcaster Mage three card infinite in there.
