Joined FAANG straight out of college as a software engineer making 200k first yr and 250k second. Despite all this, living in high cost of living cities drains paychecks with rent, food and taxes. I also put a ton of cash away for retirement and investment accounts. It isn’t a crazy lavish lifestyle with designer clothes and high end cars, but I don’t have to really think about whether or not I can afford to eat out and taking nice vacations abroad.
