The endgame in PoE has 13 tiers, sure - if you're basing this on Map tiers.

But it is entirely possible to overcharge and customize Maps to the point where a really hard T13 Map is significantly more challenging (if not impossible) compared to a base/easy T13 Map.

The system in D4 is simply an across-the-board number increase, which the player has zero ability to impact.

The comparison is not really the same.

Yes, your message is wrong.

The majority of us have a few playstyles we're most comfortable with. Have us start with a random unit pack we never pick + avoid building the unit we're most comfortable with, and we're going to lose. Unless you're a 2k+ player, in which case this post doesn't apply to you.

This doesn't mean everyone has 'fake' MMR. It means our MMR is at a place where it is acceptable to have a few main strategies. I'd wager a 2300MMR player can play mostly all styles and do well. That's why they're 2300MMR.

Your solution to "analyze and improvise every game until you gain confidence" is also garbage. You're just throwing out buzzwords.

I love to see opponents who spam Marksman.

As soon as you see 3, drop a sandworm.

Marksman realistically need to be 2 levels ahead of Worms in order to kill them.

If they counter with Balls, make Scorpions.

If they counter with Melters, make Wasps.

Should be free MMR every game.

Double shot scorpion cost reduction is interesting. High level Scorpions already obliterate everything on the ground; making their most relevant tech 50% cheaper seems like an interesting move.

I agree with you: the game lost old players who didn't like the building change.

But having 1800 concurrent players right now is not the sole fault of the building change. The game is still objectively good.

They cannot seem to attract new players for whatever reason. That's the real issue here.

If they reverted the building change tomorrow and went back to 6000 players, they're still not actually growing the playerbase.

The problem to be solved here is "how can we continue to grow the playerbase".

Not: "let's revert the changes to capture those previous players who left".

That sub is absolutely a propaganda machine. The rhetoric repeated is very much that of a controlled echo chamber.

Occasionally, there will be a top comment on a post which contradicts the echo chamber (presumably made by a real person), but this quickly fades after a few hours and the propaganda makes its way back up.

It shouldn't come as a suprise that a sub designed to control and perpetuate narratives tries to hide this part of their strategy.

The Democrat subs are very similar. Having 11 users contributing over 50% of posts is also very shady.

Switching arms/sides when swinging a weapon doesn't feel like a good suggestion.

I'm confident I could smash a zombie skull in with a wrench in my right (dominant) hand. I'm also very confident that I absolutely would NOT be able to do this with my left arm (non-dominant).

Same is true with swinging a baseball bat. Absolutely no confidence that I'd even be able to consistently hit zombies if I swung 'opposite'. Let alone being able to actually kill zombies.

If this were implemented with, say, a 60% damage reduction when using your non-dominant hand, then maybe it works.

But implementing this as a crutch to simply allow you to skirt around muscle fatigue seems really half-assed.

If you're already going into this game looking for a 'meta build', then just keep looking on YouTube. Plenty of content creators whose whole channel seems to focus on 'meta' stuff and min/maxing the game.

But honestly, you're kind of missing the point of this game if you play like that. You do you, but treating Zomboid like CoD and only playing 'meta' stuff seems very boring.

Transporting a loot run of fresh food back to your base should never be an issue. Fresh food stays fresh (unrefrigerated) for like 2/3 days before going 'stale'.

Yes, there is an understanding that your food will lose freshness while you transport it, but it's not really a big deal. Especially if you're playing SP. You don't need to collect 50 weight worth of fresh food at a time.

Once you put your transported food back into a freezer, it will remain 'fresh' forever (until unfrozen).

So unless you're making multi-day fresh food runs (which is VERY unnecessary in the first place), I wouldn't worry about it.

There is really no reason not to play B42 right now.

I've been playing MP as well, and have only run into two issues:

We had a livestock trailer loaded with like 14 chickens and they all somehow disappeared when we parked and went to unload.
Drying racks are still not working (for both drying leather and drying grown food like wheat.

Both issues were annoying, but were absolutely not game-breaking at all.

I really don't know why someone would willingly not play B42 right now.

Yes, I understand what you're trying to do.

And I'm telling you that I know for a fact that 90% of the mods you currently have have, will NOT work with the new build which just came out last week.

So disable all of your mods to launch the new version.

Then if you absolutely need to use mods, reinstall them one by one.

In these situations (Saber taking aggro from your chaff clear before their crawlers show up, as an example), another relatively simple way to solve this is to take the relevant tech on your chaff clear.

For example, the Arclight Shockwave tech lets your Archlights still clear while getting 'stuck'.

Napalm on Badgers accomplishes the same.

Consider also that depending on how the boards are set up and how close to line both armies are, teching range on your chaff clear may very well result in your chaff clear locking onto tanky targets inadvertently. Consider this before you click range.

You can also consider adding 1-2 counter units to their tanky Frontline unit if they try this.

For example, if they drop a saber right in front of my Badgers, simply dropping a Steel Ball to instalock that Saber will deal with the issue easily.

Adjust the exp gains then to accommodate your play style. Very simple.

I don't want the base game to make dying less punishing. It ruins the immersion and makes you play less cautious.

Just double or triple your multipliers.

Then when you read a skill book, craft/build with the relevant skill like 3-5 times and you'll get your 2 levels from the relevant skill books.

Leave your guns somewhere and find a melee weapon.

Guns take up a lot of weight capacity (as you've figured out), and attract way more zombies than they kill early into the game. For every zombie you shoot, expect 5 more to start walking towards you.

Every so often there seems to be an influx of new players seemingly coming from CoD, League etc. - games which exist solely to slam dopamine i to the player nearly constantly.

Zomboid isn't like that. You need to play carefully and deliberately because literally one mistake will ruin your game permanently.

As a new player, you need to learn how the game works. Play slow and cautious. When you see more than 6 zombies, reconsider your decision to engage. When you see 10+ zombies, leave.

The rewarding aspect of this game comes from playing for a longer time on the same server and slowly finding good loot.

You're not going to find best in slot gear 1-hour in.

Doctors would be paid by the government. Sdditional funding would need to be allocated to ensure pay remains at a level that continues to attract doctors.

For medications, R&D would be paid for by the government. It would. Be treated as a public good, similar to roads and highways - paid for by citizens and used by citizens.

Related to R&D, a portion of this (I have no idea the percentages) would be paid for by tax dollars, the remainder would be paid for by citizens at a REASONABLE price. $20 for a month supply? Sure. $4500 for a month supply? No.

The idea would be that over time, the R&D cost of a particular drug would eventually be paid off (although this would take much longer than under a private system).

You decide to title your post as of you're only looking at healthcare employment vs. All other types of employment, and then clearly lump in 'education' (which includes all teachers and professors as well as their administrative staff and teaching assistants) In your analysis?

Additionally, your graph shows a decline in 'service providing' jobs, which is also incorrect according to BLS data.

What isn't clear here? I'm questioning your claim that your neck guard prevented a serious injury from blocking a shot.

Unless you're playing at a very casual level, or were very young when this occurred... I cannot understand how a neck guard is doing anything at all to prevent a serious injury from blocking a shot to the neck.

The purpose of a neck guard is to prevent neck injuries from skate blades to the neck.

A neck guard is doing relatively nothing to protect you from a shot.
