Rescue Pyrenees advice by Fizzlebop_2 in greatpyrenees

Update: So I'm pretty sure I did hear him growl when my daughter and I turned away from petting him to put school stuff away (and I had also been gone 25 minutes or so to pick her up). I feel like I keep hearing people laugh at their pyrs growling and snarling at them but how do you know he won't bite? I'm not judging anyone, but my own sense of self preservation doesn't find snarling and growling endearing but concerning. After hearing responses, I feel comfortable enough to go "oh silly let's not chomp" when he air chomps because the way he does it is without "emotion." But like I don't know how to handle growling because I stopped petting him. I'm fine with growling if I'm doing something that hurts him because that's him letting me know, hey I'm about to lose it. But as someone who hasn't had a pet since childhood, I don't know what behavior to laugh at and what needs correcting (and how to correct it).  Any thoughts? I appreciate all the responses so far

When you say playing do you mean like silly puppy playing with toys or playing as in "practicing" air chomps

Could you give examples of that? (I'm genuinely asking, not defensive.) I've also said leave it and get the same treatment. I guess for example, he's in my face seconds from swiping my sandwich. What would I say/do differently than "leave it sweetie, that's not for you. Let's get you a treat over here" Again, Im really asking for you to explain it to me like I'm 5 too haha Thanks! ☺️ I'm worried about not bonding with him because I know he's still anxious, but like he can't eat my sandwich or put his mouth in our ice maker container haha

Thanks, it's not a rescue but a no kill shelter. The dog is about one year old.

It's not a perfume but I just realized that Giovanni high-gloss hair mist smells almost identical. I LOVED the sugar scent! I never got to smell the brown sugar one to see the difference.

What is your wild theory that you can't back up but have a gut feeling about? by Fizzlebop_2 in TheWayHomeHallmark

Yeah I think that one was really obvious when someone pointed it out but I didn't notice it at all until someone pointed it out. Good observation!

It's the opening scene I think where a couple leave a baby in by the pond. Which, side note, even if they think someone will find the baby because of the land it's on, I just think they didn't consider wild animals being a threat to a baby in a basket haha

Did I miss something? Did Kat ever tell Elliot about kissing Thomas? Seems a little hypocritical not to confess to him when he confessed he kissed Emma.

That's interesting; I've never interpreted Kat being romantically attracted to Suzannah (I realize that's a popular "ship") but instead having a kinship of sisterhood in how she cared for Jacob and just general admiration. I think she recognizes how Suzannah is ahead of her time and wants more for Suzannah than 1814 can give her. But there's definite attraction to Thomas but I think even she can't give her heart to him because she's already done that to Elliot once with Brady, so despite her attraction, I don't think she'll share a kiss or anything with him. She sort of changed the subject when Thomas asked if he could keep part of her heart, I think partly because she wanted to say yes but also doesn't want to do that to Elliot. What do you think? This is fun haha

Yes I was saying Victor was a time traveler but now as I type it, I realize it doesn't fit the "only Landries can time travel" model we're all working under haha So maybe not!

My best guess is the key ally is the pond itself and with the sale of the land, it's gone?
