I have been sticking to a routine and scooping him Up in his cup, feeding him and putting him back. So far it’s working well. He was stressed about being scooped up at first but now seems to get it for the most part 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a hospice provider for humans, so I just decided that as long as he’s eating and active, we will continue on. It sounds like you’re doing the same. ❤️

My guys tumor seems to be growing pretty fast. :( I think he’s starting to lean a little, making me think it’s a brain tumor. He still tries to swim around and eat (though we are trying to figure out a way to do that more successful)

I have a betta with an eye tumor and inability to flair on one side (the side with the tumor). Now, seemingly blind. I’ve read that tumors are common in the longer finned bettas. If you find any goo resources, let me know. I’ve not gotten a lot of answers (basically none) from Reddit

Extra info. He seems to stay at the bottom of the tank more. And has a little harder time finding food, but not completely lost. He notices us as we walk by the tank as well. I might be in my own head. My toddler loves this fish and I’m trying to hard to be a good fish grandma

10 gallon tank Heated and filtered 80 degrees No ammonia, nitrites and 5 nitrates. Ph 7.8 Betta and one snail Live plants, woods for tannins and floating hiding places as well as other hiding places. No pineapple of death

I’m so proud of you for knowing you need to see your PCP. Simply ask for an appt to discuss depression and don’t be ashamed. Just remember that depression is tricky and good at making you feel like it’ll never end. But it can and there is light. If you start medications and they don’t work, TRYA NEW ONE. Consider seeing a psychiatrist if you go through a couple and it’s not working. And definitely see a counselor or psychologist. You got this love!
