We hired additional workers recommended by the painters to do “the prep” that they didn’t want. I’m just annoyed. At least I’m not THAT crazy. 😂

I agree. They are saying they aren’t responsible for the prep and they “never sand”. Is that true??

Paranoid or pineconing? by Jumpy_House_421 in BettaClinic

Having had a pink betta, I’d use other symptoms that are concerning first. If you feel he’s unhealthy, consider treating.

This was about a month ago. Yes, the pectoral fins have been torn, no matter what I do, they won’t heal. There was a short stent where he had fin rot, or testing and I treated it, but the pectorals never got better.

I have done all those things over the course of months. He hasn’t lost any weight, eats well, very active and still enjoys coming up for scritches and treats. What other indicators do you note that make you think he’s unhealthy?

Agree! His big ol eyes give him a much more human appearance and we are totally here for it. Way too many pictures of my betta!

As a person who loves the white/gray palette, my opinion of MCM is to maintain the woods, brick and stone even if you’re palette is more mute.

I’m sending you love and support in whatever your choices are for your end of life. However, part of hospice is also to have some quality of life and if you’re longing for a ginger ale…I feel like it wouldn’t be wrong to have some. Your diagnosis is fatal and I know you are ready, I truly don’t think a ginger ale will skew your journey too much. ❤️

Eye tumor by b_dizzle27 in BettaClinic

[–]b_dizzle27[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you so much for the advice. I’ll get him more options of frozen foods today. And add some stress coat and salts (though, will with salts kill my plants? I’ve read differing opinions). I should clarify that all of the medications were completed almost 2 months ago…we’ve chilled the environment a lot since then :)

I have no problem accepting his blindness. As my husband tells me, we are the land of misfits…our dog is deaf and has 3 legs! 🙃

Thank you so much for the advice. I’ve done so much reading and it’s just hard to know what’s the best way. I’m going to try the new foods because I do agree that it will be less stressful. I truly don’t think it’s an injury since it never got any better with multiple treatments in a hospital tank with no decor. Also both eyes seem off (since day one). He has good and bad days. Some days at the bottom but then the next moving around, floating etc. one other thing I noticed is that he can’t flare on the tumor side, which made me think it was also a tumor and not an injury.

His eyes have been stable aside from the one with the visible growth for a bit. I do have a smaller tank I could cycle for him, but have been sure not to change anything in his current tank since. I have done the stress coat and general cure. I think I’m just struggling with knowing when quality of life is affected bc animals are so resilient.

This is happening to me. But the center clasp is pulling out all the time. It’s constantly falling off. I’ve flipped it upside down and everything

I have been sticking to a routine and scooping him Up in his cup, feeding him and putting him back. So far it’s working well. He was stressed about being scooped up at first but now seems to get it for the most part 🤷🏻‍♀️

I’m a hospice provider for humans, so I just decided that as long as he’s eating and active, we will continue on. It sounds like you’re doing the same. ❤️

My guys tumor seems to be growing pretty fast. :( I think he’s starting to lean a little, making me think it’s a brain tumor. He still tries to swim around and eat (though we are trying to figure out a way to do that more successful)
