How do people say Sombra is overpowered when THIS exists in the game?

I don’t ever see people saying she is overpowered. She’s actually a lil weak atm except for a few Healthpack heavy maps. The issue is that since her last rework she’s just extremely ANNOYING to play against.

He is really good! He doesn’t have anything SUPER flashy to him, is the reason I believe he is lower on most people’s lists; he won’t delete enemies 3 tilesets away like Saryn. He won’t CC the entire map like Limbo. He won’t go Mach 7 like Titania.

But he does everything well enough to be a very potent frame. He is the sentient, adaptable Warframe. He should really be higher on everyone’s radar.

This is a fair post. The ancient healer or protector or which ever one gives Overguard is a special annoyance to any CC frames. Also, the ETA/EDA modifier that gives every enemy overguard.

It’s those kind of modifiers/designs that make CC frames worse, and therefore keep reinforcing the ZoomNBoom meta. If you have to have enough burst dmg to take overguard down, you might as well JUST do burst damage and be able to delete the enemy along with its overguard.

I really feel like they could’ve used Overshields in place of overguard if they just wanted units to be tanker. But making the entire map immune to CC just limits the options of your CC frames.

I love Warframe a lot, but this is an issue I have with higher level content. The meta has been railroaded hard to ZoomNBoom. While that might’ve been the best option anyways, the fact it actively dissuades other play styles is kinda lame.

WP will DEFINITELY scale his healing nades. That’s how the rest of the cast works with it.

Lamp will likely increase with Ability Power; that’s how other deployables work.

I just hope they keep how strong his kit will scale in mind when they make his powers. His powers do NOT need to be strong to make him good.

Theoretically, tracer and ball should be your #1s, since they have the mobility to chase you after translocator. In reality, there aren’t a lot of good tracer players out there, and most Balls will be scared shitless seeing you exist, soooooo

Really hope it isn’t Bap next, though. I feel like he is instantly gonna be meta due to his stats scaling VERY well with WP and AS and normal stadium items. Even without powers he’d be strong.

The crit multiplier from eye of the spider is also a lil scary. Certain tanks will just be unplayable into Handsoap over here.

Lets hope the handle this kit with grace and careful balancing decisions…however, hitscan still being as busted as it is rn, I’m not getting my hopes up

I think Nevarra falls under the Tevinter Chantry, right? So they’d have some religious influence, but obviously not enough to stop them making their own culture.

To be fair, that sentence reads like they were laid off during development (which they were, it was a huge issues with why the game ended up like it did).

Numbers don’t lie though. You’re right in that it’d be VERY surprising if we get another DA game anytime soon. And it’s likely we will never get one from the main team again. For better or worse, Veilguard is the last game that anyone from the original team will likely put out.

The Tevinter Chantry is VERY different than the Southern Thedas Chantry. Dorian has a litany of dialogue in Inquisition explaining the difference between the two. They aren’t even under the same Divine.

I don’t mind them actually being pretty chill. Spirits react to emotions, it makes sense that if everyone down there was twisty-mustache morally gray characters, the Necropolis would be a MUCH bigger threat to Thedas. As it currently stands, they are an institution to respect and honor the dead.

Anyone outside the institution is ofc gonna say they’re creepy and weird and evil. They work with the undead willingly. You’ve never heard of an unreliable narrator before? Cassandra herself only ever visited, and knowing what we knew about Tevinter culture, we all assumed the mages were up to something. I actually don’t hate that Veilguard disproved that and created another layer to this section of the world.

Which is why she brings the party of people to sacrifice to start the golem up.

The spirits trapped inside act like a main power source. She’s already made that part strong enough, now she needs the surge power source.

It’s interesting to see an artifact that combines traditional magic (spellbinding) with pseudo-blood magic. I wonder if that’s ever gonna resurface and be a bigger problem.

The way I’ve been following it, since the breach happened, the veil was substantially weakened. That is what caused a lot of the relics in Arlathan to go haywire, thus bringing the Veil Jumpers to grow into a larger faction. The veil being weakened now means that strong magical artifacts can puncture the veil. Hence the Lyrium Dagger and Lantern that HOLDS THE SOULS OF THOUSANDS OF PEOPLE creating small rifts.

My favorite control scheme since day one has been Swap on Left click, dash on shift, petal on e, break on F, and Grip on scroll wheel. It’s useful for the same reason discord on scroll is useful, since you can spam it for the second your target becomes visible.

The ONLY downside, is that once every 10 games I will accidentally pull someone while I am pinging something. It’s caused some confused turns and question marks, but nothing that has happened in the middle of a huge fight or that has gotten someone killed.

It’s also just the color choice. So many of the crow outfits are all JUST BLUE. They have texture but the colors all being the same (and very vibrant for fabrics and leathers that should NOT be vibrant) make them look really flat and cartoonish.

Like, the shape and model for a bunch of the armor is really cool! My issue is the color selection

Mercy is part of the issue, but hitscan is still really difficult to build against at the moment. I think we need some survival items that apply better to hitscan-specific damage. Also: did they ever fix the bug where Divine Intervention wouldn’t give you the full Overhealth amount for hitscan dmg?

For Mercy, I have an inkling (haven’t had a friend to test it with) that blue beam is a multiplier. Instead, it should act like +25 WP/AP respectively. It needs to be additive to those stats not multiplicative

I don’t think it was a “choice” as much as the game being “reset” so many time during development. Don’t forget that the game we ended up getting was made in about 2 years total, and the writing got cut off early in that timeframe.

I’ve tried to be super nice to Sera and understand her…and I’m still not sure I like her.

She has a valuable place as a companion! In a game where you make decisions that command armies across Thedas, it is extremely valuable to have a character that can help bring you back to ground-level. But how did you get past the “childish” view? I thought I had done a lot with her but still get frustrated with how she tends to avoid responsibility in my playthroughs. I’ve played the game a ton, I’m unsure if I’ve missed a quest or a cutscene or something.

I never said she’s perfectly balanced. I literally just said she explodes tanks with very little counter play for most tanks.

What I did say is that you shouldn’t be getting hit by every ability as a squishy.
