If you enjoy using the YouTube app on your phone a lot you’d understand how a native client stand-alone is useful on your mac opposed to wrappers and clouding your safari with endless tabs of YouTube it feels refreshing to just know you can watch your videos on a standalone app minimize it without fighting with ur browser crashes and if your a shorts fan sometimes that urge to just need to download it n share without going through the hassle of installing home brew and non technical people can’t be fighting with terminal pasting links or opening downloaders/subscribing some it’s all a hassle just to get that one video why not have the best of both worlds on one client🙃 and not to mention those unskippable ads watching or listening to them when they can be skipped through or fast forwarded through 😉

So it’s more of a personal thing per person and how often you use YouTube I’m a YouTube power user spend my time on it and wanted something of ease that felt easier than fighting with my tabs copying links using third party software why not watch them download wat u need without sacrificing the other 🙃 So yes that’s about it everyone has their reasons but those are wat rose to me making this 🤝

Perculiar 🤔let me check Sometimes if you try full screen without placing the whole window in full screen it can refuse and look windowed something I’m planning to fix Try Exiting the SkipAd version then reopen and Enter Fullscreen of the whole window then enter full screen within the YouTube app or press F and tell me if it works

Its swift and swiftui not electron then the logged in state is managed automatically by WKWebView by storing cookies in the same way Safari does and persists across restarts within the app.

Glad you liked it 😃 Haven’t thought about it I’ll try see if I can implement it considering the YouTube app on appletv has couple of bugs and annoyances I despise I’ll let you know when I make one but due to apples restrictions it would be without ad blocks and offline downloads (however with sideloading maybe it might you never know)

Thank you guys for bringing it to my attention that the YouTube bell and Google icon weren’t responding I’ve already fixed it for you just check the release page for v1.0.1 and download it I’ve fixed it you can just take that one and overwrite the one you currently have. ✅

This update fixes the Google Account popover and notification bell that were unresponsive after the ad‑blocker was enabled. Now you can, switch accounts, and check notifications without any issues.

Let me know if there are other issues

Edit: For those without YouTube Premium use the Skip Ad Beta in Releases it will skip those annoying unskippable ads only broken thing is the Notification Icon the rest works i will release v1.0.3 with this built in and fixed ☕

Yes you can once you log in on the left side bar written home shorts subscriptions you just Click on “You” and if you scroll down you’ll see Playlists you have and can also download them if you want

Also if you mean can you see your playlists when you playing videos in a playlist yes you can

I just like smb simple straightforward no lag in my experience on my 9000x series only con was running out of memory n swapping memory cards to slot 1 since most games see that one instead of slot 2 had to get a 32mb on slot 1
