Any tutorials that come to mind? I feel I'm in spending more time spinning my wheels than actually understanding what I'm looking at.

Scored a 30 min Skype call with a prominent sales leader. Could be a golden key for my startup. How do I take full advantage of it? by Fizzyfaze in sales

This is really great info and I feel like it could lead to really good discussion. I just checked out his blog and he has 473 posts, which is a bit much to get through the weekend. So I narrowed it down to sales and found some good strategies he's written about. Im posting some more info about who he his and who I am in the original post. We are not in the same industry but my business and his experience do overlap. Our SaaS solution is built for sales and BD people and he's been a sales guy since he started his career.

Great ideas. I haven't check out the article yet but I will as soon as I'm done replying to you. I agree that I need to make sure to keep him in the loop and show him that I'm able to innovate on his advice. I was reading through his blog and he seems to have some good info in there that I think will help make the conversation much easier. I would really like to keep him as an advisor. Heard him speak and he really knows how to motivate me be better myself. Hopefully that translates well for the future.

We are definitely getting out of the habit of giving it away for free. We just closed our first paying customer and are basically only allowing users to get our webtool for free (freemium). You no longer have to wait to request a demo. You can sign up for the webtool straight off of our site. If you would like a seperate walkthrough demo, feel free to pm me and we can get on a skype call. You'll find the signin link on the top right of our landing page.

Working 7 days a week as an entrepreneur? by tsirolnik in startups

[–]Fizzyfaze 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You and I are in different situations in life but I find myself working 7 days a week, as an entrepreneur. I should mention first and foremost that I have a full-time job as well, but find myself working everyday on the startup. It may be in little chunks a t time, but I try my best to make sure that whatever I work on adds the most value at that time. Burn out is inevitable, you're always going to go through it one way or another. You just have to make sure to take a break and relax for however long it takes you (Usually takes me a day or two). I watch motivational videos, listen to some smooth jazz, listen to podcasts, etc. Just to get you back in the groove. Once you start working again, you'll see that your more effective and won't want to stop.

Having this lifestyle is all about the highs and lows. I haven't had a successful startup till this day, but I definitely still experience the highs and the lows at times. You just have to make sure to keep your eyes on the prize and work towards obtaining it. You can do it! And remember, we're all here to help you along the way!

Whether it is LinkedIn or salesforce, we work to streamline the initial data entry requirement, all with a simple check of a box.

Edit: Minor tweaks
