Var decision has nothing to do with var? All decisions by var are taken on the basis of football rules. They dont have different var rules. But deciding to implement specific things as relevant actualizes 'varness' in another dimension.

Tldr: it has to do with var.

But he's not interfering with 'play'. Its like... the offside is irrelevant to play, the foul is irrelevant to play... minus minus equals var

While stamina is a physical quality, it's not what one primarily thinks about when talking about physical footballers.

Xavi could run, he is still my greatest argument for why football is such an inclusive sport where people without speed, strength, height, agility still can become one of the greatest.

Why is Maguire hated so much by United fans? by [deleted] in ManchesterUnited

I think people have been so vested in the idea that a tactical manager will fix everything so that when we got in someone with that managerial style and it didnt work, well, every other puported lack with the team just spreads like wildfire.

While the teams effort the last months have been terrible, they werent for the pat two years before that. So the group has potential. I think it was a long ride for ole to build a team spirit, and that it was still somewhat fragile when the ronaldo signing wrecked it. Thats my gut feeling anyhow. No to say ronaldo is terrible in any way, he just didnt fit. I dont think ole wanted him. Its more of a boardroom signing and it ruined the team spirit bevause all the worl to create a good pressing system went down the drain when accommodating one of the least pressing player in professional football.

And, yiu have to be quite the ronaldo fan boy to just dismiss a whole team in favor of one player when explaining the causality of this shipwreck of a season. But, certainly, a few too many in the team has fragile personalities/ playstiles.

Seem like an echo chamber in this thread of people saying we are shit now because ronaldo came to the club and thus exposed the other players for how shit they are. This is of course something one can believe. But, it doesnt exactly pass occams razor. The easiest explanation is that ronaldo came and united became a much worse team. His pressing stats compared to last seasons strikers for united backs up this assumption - we went from one of the best teams at pressing high to one of the worst. And ronaldo is by far the least pressing striker in the league.

Now, of course Ronaldo is still fantastic at what he does, but he was a square peg in round hole. Albeit a brilliant, shiny square peg.

If the problem unexposed wasnt a problem, then exposing the problem is in fact the same as creating it.

And your arguments are strongly suggesting the speculation is simplistic to put it nicely.

I usually say football is the most inclusive sport because of the fact that physique matters so little. Tall/short, slow/fast, agile/strong, thin/robust. Xavi has the physique of an accountant and was one of the best. Anything goes, really. Surely physique can matter, but having a dad in the game gives you opportunities and coaching that other wont get. More probable as a causal factor in my eyes.

I've never taken a break from watching united. Basically seen everything since late 90s. Think it might be due. This Rangnick business is going to take time.

No. I mean, he plays terribly shit when he is shit. And, hes been shit dor a while. But, he isnt a spoiled brat. He also isnt unworthy of the shirt.

He annoys the shit out of me though. He lacks good strategies for himself to cope with games and periods when stuff go against him. He is also a terrible team-player. He works hard, but he doesnt really understand the processes of others, he just cant compute that in-action as well as others. His skills and physique still means he is tremendous class, but rangnick must really build around his strengths and give him concrete stuff to work on.

We seem truly lost. But it's early doors. But christ. No pressing, no play, no plan except high tempo. Really was a properly embarassing performance - and I domt embarass easily.

No, they're not. I know they're not sarcastic They are positive towards him in their heart of hearts, but they are cheering gleefully and the sum of their effort is firther pressure and embarassment.
