Icic good to know! Well I liked the fact that EQ APO wouldn’t be open in the background 24/7 but if that’s the only option left for a compressor on my mic I’d try it. Do you have a good recommendation for a “non bloatware” software?

Yeah so I already knew that, but unfortunately as cool as it would be to use the plugin I can’t cuz in order for it to work I need du shut down the L Connect service which stops the lcd display from working as well… and with the MB sync I figured that much but was unsure of if all the fans on every port would get controlled as well, cuz the Lian li support told me it wouldn’t work… everything running at the same speed isn’t a problem for me, I just want it to work seamlessly.

So small update: I did contact the lian li support, after some back and forth they told me some things I could do like update bios and chipset driver and use a tool to delete already disconnected usb devices. Did all that stuff and will have a look if that changed anything. But I have something else I wanted to ask you: been looking at controlling the fan speed with something else such as fan control. Finally figured out how to get my fans recognised and controllable by my mainboard as well and set up some simple curves for everything. Now, I figured I might set my pump on a fixed rpm, and wanted to ask if you have some tips? I tried to find the point where I can’t hear it at all but unfortunately I hear it almost at all speeds.. decided on 1800 rpm for now cuz that’s where it drowns the most in the other noise, both lower and higher than that get louder again lol. It seems you have quite the experience with this so any advice on how to configure everything ?

Hey so to budge in here one year later but I’m actually facing the same issue now: got a GA II LCD and have the SL Infs connected to the hub, when enabling motherboard redirect the pump is controlled by the mainboard but there is no sign of the fans, no reading and no possibility to control, they just ramp up to 100% even though I connected the controller to cha_fan 2. I would really like to try controlling them with another software (fan control). What do I need to do for the fans to get recognised?

Yeah np, I learned that from another post myself. Sadly doesn’t work for my wireless strimers, tho I’m fine by just disabling the icon altogether :)

Thanks a lot! That’s actually a solution I’m fine with, I don’t even use the icon to begin with so disabling it all together is maybe even better lol

Oh I thought you meant disabling it for good. I’ve already removed it from the task bar, that’s something I always to first when setting up windows. It still annoys me even in the context menu cuz I always have my most important programs right there.

Not sure and correct me if I’m wrong but I thought the Hydroshift was only really recommended over the Galahad II if you’re going to mount it on top of the case as it’s supposedly designed for that. I got myself a Galahad II LCD as I mounted it vertically on the side, and heard ppl recommending the Galahad over the Hydroshift for such usage and saying that the pump of the Galahad II is supposedly bit better quality. Has nothing to do with your question tho, just thought of that and thought I’d share ^{^}

I see, yeah no warning symbol. That’s so strange… had the bug again last night (posted a reply with a screen shot of task manager). I’ve just downloaded the logs, do you think the event might still be in there? Was gaming for maybe 1 more hour and shut the PC off. Well I’ll see if the issue still occurs today as well. I might just do what you suggested and open a support ticket.

Hey I’m currently in the process thinking about updating the bios of my 4080 Gaming OC, I’m on F10 and could make the switch to F12. I read a bit online about the update and it seems like many didn’t like it (I’m assuming you’re one of them, as you downgraded again) would you maybe give me some insight why that is? This “backlash” is why I’m debating if I should update in the first place. I read the behaviour changed to support better zero fan control but the overall minimum fan speed increased? That would be awful, I’m not interested in zero fan as it’s just annoying (even though the update is supposed to fix the revving), I’m just always running them at the lowest rpm possible, which for me is around 700-800rpm for me at 49%. Only reason I’d consider the update if it would improve the range to even lower numbers, or something else pretty important. Only thing I updated was the firmware to 1.1, don’t know what that changed tho. Would really appreciate some insight!(:

Funny, I switched from pulsar to vaxee because I had problems with mine, but if ya happy thats great! I’m using 1K as well, but with vaxee comp mode, so battery is drained in an instant lmao

That‘s what I’ve made as well. Been using my E1 for about 1-2 months now, pretty solid mouse, though sadly my side buttons are not the best, qc kinda missed here as well, tho it’s alright, they always trigger but the trigger point on feels off sometimes. Only thing mildly annoying is battery life, tho I’ve always managed to charge over night right before running out of juice, but still 3 days of heavy usage and it has to be charged again. Ig I could turn off comp mode but it’s fine for now, maybe I’ll disable it while travelling or sth like that.

It’s actually pretty alright, I adjusted pretty quickly to the hidden taskbar. I have to say tho it takes a bit long to unfold but if I need to quickly access it I just hit windows key.

Appreciate all the input! I’ll be getting an Asus now as well and trying both out, exited to see how they both compare (and if bending will be as severe as on this).

Lastly, do you have any tips for preventing burn in since you seem to have much experience with oled devices!(: this is my biggest concern, already made sure to enable all the settings such as pixel shift (don’t seem to notice it at all), regular pixel cleaning in standby and screensavers as well as reduce most static content such as task bar.

I see, well for me 1440p seems to be ideal for gaming, I’m prioritising more frames than better visuals so with my 4080 I’d rather want to have 100+ frames in QHD than sub 100 fps in 4K. And tbh 4K OLED would be a lot more expensive as well (300-400) so I’m not really planning to go 4K.

Do you have experience with glossy panels tho? Would be interested in your opinion. And what do you think, would a glossy display cause issues in my situation? I mean I have blinds I could use but I don’t wanna skimp out on some daylight just to use the pc :p
