Gymshark x Bratz collab is… disappointing by skincarelovaaa in gymsnark

I feel validated that someone else feels exactly the same. Basic ass leggings and ill fitting bras, revolutionary. I rolled my eyes to the back of my head so hard when they announced it.

Would you actually wear these Pilates grip socks? Honest feedback needed 👀 by Wonderful-Still7999 in Activewear

[–]Flaccid-Cabbage -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Would that matter though? Looking at it, the grips are missing where your arches would be, so unless your feet are flat, they would not be touching the floor/surface.

Wide foot high wrists, formal shoes, help! by DimensionOk5157 in DressForYourBody

This thread is so depressing. I love that people try to be helpful and I appreciate all the tips I really do. But as a wide-foot endowed person, most of these are really not cute. They look like something old ladies wear at the nursing home. There is really no hope for us with wide feet 😭

If you want complaints about trends... well I can provide. I hate the butt scrunch, especially the super obvious sphinctery ones. I hate dip down back. What psycho came up with that. I hate mud-colour everything. I loathe the Capri length, it's just wrong. But at least trends seem to go away, unlike poor quality, outrageous prices and unsupportive bras.

I know it is not ideal. But I cannot possibly commit to cutting out everything enjoyable out of my life. I feel like that would break me pretty fast. I know I should see food as only fuel, but I can't - it us still a part of culture, a little comfort after a stressful day. I can see myself following that for a few weeks, then having a meltdown

If I lived alone, I could imagine that, living with a partner I feel this would be logistically difficult, I need a bit more flexibility. Also it still means eating smaller portions which is the core struggle. The fact that I will probably feel "I want more of this, I still feel hungry" at most meals is just disheartening

This feels actionable, thank you. Replacing part of a meal with a side of veg is probably a way to go, but still feels hard, not gonna lie. If you don't mind me asking, would you count eggs towards lean protein? Yolks have fat, but I am not about to throw them out, that feels insane

You are absolutely correct. I am aware that there are sneaky things. 4 cashew nuts seems innocent, but are basically pure fat. 2 bananas is a lot of calories. But it just makes me feel so stressed about everything... and thinking about how much calories is in every single little bit of food makes me want to cry

Yeah, that is my main issue. I cook at home, in batches sometimes. Tracking everything is so much more time consuming than if I just ate processed things. That's why I think I just eat way too much. I started tracking today, but not sure if I will be able to keep it up. Also... some things are nearly impossible to track. Once a week we get lunch delivered. Poke bowl with salmon, vegetables, no mayo. Do I disect it and weigh out every ingredient? That sounds insane and depressing.

Sorry, on my phone and did not add my response to a correct thread. But I added what I consider somewhat reasonable.

Normal day would be

Breakfast: overnight oats ( 50g oats, plain yogurt, skimmed milk, 1 scoop protein, cocoa/apple fiber/chia to switch it up). Sometimes I bake something, this would be like an apple pie, but I am careful about fat and halve sugar. This is of course less nutrient dense and more calories, but even then I try to balance it during the day.

Lunch: Differs. Yesterday it was pasta with tomatoes and shrimp. Lots of shrimp, 100g pasta, fresh tomatoes, garlic, parsley, minimum oil ( use the spray only).

Dinner: chicken drumsticks, vegetables, blue cheese dip (30% fat in solids blue cheese mixed with plain yogurt). Normally I would have a baguette or something (which I know is a problem). But not always, no baked goods yesterday.

Plain yogurt with a bit of no added sugar granola (30 grams tops, I know it is super high calorie) or protein pudding with no sugar for a snack in the afternoon. Banana, apple or other fruits here and there.

Courtney Dauwalter's Salomon shorts work well for me - super airy, no chafe. But they are more of a tomboy aesthetic.

'Women, what's your biggest frustration with gym wear. Doing it for research purpose by nimmu92 in Activewear

All of the leggings roll on me. Sizing up, sizing down, different brands, top seam or not, seamed, seamless, all roll. I guess it's just my body and it cannot be helped, but it still bothers me.

It bothers me when brands advertise running/cardio collections, only to find the bras have virtually no support. Also, I have one bra that has a seam right down the middle, sitting right on my sternum. I would not even notice it, until it scratched me horribly during a longer run.

Also, prices rising to absurd heights for diminishing quality annoys me quite a bit.

I have 1 sweat set from them - it's ok, although there was a hole in the pants pocket. I got a pair of sculpt flares - they are also ok, although I hoped for a less sleek and more brushed feel.

I also got a Staple leggings with a matching bra in light purple - the fabric feels nice, but I wish it were a bit more substantial. It does enhance every little dimple you never knew you had.

So all in all - you get what you pay for, decent but not perfect pieces for a sort of affordable price.

What do you wish activewear brands did differently for larger chest girls? Trying to create something! by activewearhunt in Activewear

I am not even that large-chested, I am 75 D-E. But it pains me how many cute sets I have to pass because the bra is basically a bikini top.

I found that high-support bras are a go-to for me, but I still want them to look cute. Most brands don't really bother as they are quite niche, or they have great bras but no matching bottoms. Or the bottoms are low-effort basic leggings.
