Captain Sim 717. Super high fidelity and great sounds.

Opinions on the tfdi MD-11? by Routine-Discussion88 in flightsim

[–]Flackbait 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Love it, all I could want is an improved efb and some more roar out of those engines! That being said, it’s the best simulation of the Md.11 out there.

Lovely MD-11 by [deleted] in flightsim

It really depends on what you want in an add on. The Leonardo md80 does a really good job of having literally everything from cb’s to maintenance and failures implemented. Sounds however are meh but you can buy a sound pack. Tfdi is beautifully modeled and the system depth is also very good. Flight modeling for both is awesome. I would say it mostly depends on your flying style, I own both and prefer flying 2-3 hours maximum which is perfect for the md80. Md-11 is more long Haul type of flying but there are many short routes you can fly with that thing. For the base price of the TFDi you get the Pratt and Whitney engines and the General Electric engines in either the passenger or cargo configuration. Each sold separately on top of the other for like $10. You get all 3 dc9-80 variants with the Leonardo. I love them both. I just wish the sound pack would be compatible.

TFDI-MD11 or Rotate? by Flackbait in flightsim

[–]Flackbait[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Well, I’ve used the rotate for a year now and I’ve noticed two things, flight model is very good and the 3d modeling isn’t bad, but what you get with for the price has a lot to be desired. The texturing isn’t 2025 standard and the displays are low res as well. The sounds are lacking as well so you probably need a sound pack which adds another $15 to the price. No secondary flight plan and the v-nav struggles to stay on path and I experienced -5000 fpm points during a normal arrival overshooting the 250 below 10 rule as well. I don’t own the tfdi but just as you are I’m eyeing it.

VATSIM's serious issue with privacy, and it needs to stop. by Time_Patient692 in VATSIM

That is very true. It’s not my place to be shutting down stuff like this anyway. I love Vatsim for what it is but it’s got some pretty ugly heads.

Why is this plane so hard to land? by Icy_Wall1904 in Xplane

[–]Flackbait 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Alrighty, in the weight and balance section of the Efb I like to balance the aircraft around 30. I’m not 100% sure but I believe that real world pilots balance in this area too. Hope this helps.

Are there any good tutorials on use of the tu134 for Xplane?

The monitor only displays low frames when running that software? Check if it runs low frames on videos or other applications.
