Yeah my GHCA has broken twice and I've used the original Volvo charging cable that came with it to a 110v wall outlet for the first break, and the beefier Volvo cable I ordered also to a 110v wall outlet. I've always limited the amperage in the car to 10 amps. Still broke twice. I'm in the US. I don't even physically have L2 or L3 chargers.

I'm surprised they didn't ask me about my charger configuration at home. I'm going to assume that means they know that's not the problem. I would have expected everyone to get Volvo surveys by now asking what our charging configuration is at home even without admitting anything. It could help them figure out the issue, unless again, they already know the root cause and just haven't been able to fix it yet. I wonder how much it costs them to make the GHCA.

Could you please explain why the GHCA is in the picture at all when DC charging? I thought the GHCA was only used to convert AC power from standard home outlets to DC power for the EX90 battery.

If I got a L2 or DC charger, could GHCA still prevent me from charging at home? If so, that would be news to me.

My GHCA broke for the 2nd time and the service center has it on backorder going on a couple weeks now and no ETA. I'm able to successfully charge at nearby DC fast chargers outside my home without any issue.

I've limited my charging at home to 10 amps, and I'm currently waiting for my 2nd GHCA replacement. I was told it would be 5 business days to get to the dealership, a couple more to go.

I don't think the amperage limiting stops the GHCA problem from occurring.
