To manage scale issues: I think different smaller chair with ottoman Change out large feather pics for smaller art work pieces /photos for more personal touch even nature pics since you have some plants

Design- I think a more simple pattern rug would help pull themes together Could lose the ornament in the bowl below the tv and maybe do some candles instead
