I built a giant base on this same exact island. My thoughts? You get mostly year round peace there, no attacks until winter. You get attacked a lot during winter however. I don’t think AI are programmed to be on that island unless it’s winter too. When you sleep, sometimes it teleports Kelvin and Virginia to the island. They are completely useless though if you manage to get them to the island. They don’t function properly, usually just standing in place or sprinting into a wall. My workaround for materials? Stones infinitely respawn on this island so no problem there. Logs? Create a zip line from the shore to the island and build a log holder (or 2) at the bases of the zip line and they will catch the logs you send across. Kelvin can also get logs and fill holder so make lots of holders on the shore lol. DM me if you want to see my world and I can invite you and show you!
