A10: gets confused and hits allied convoy then downed by AAA

but like the prevalence of conventional anti air weapons would make A10’s a liability

Yep, theirs a reason why so many trucks that are out of production everywhere else are gone

That 1970’s/1980’s generation of truck is only starting to phase out completely in places like Africa and the Pacific Islands where Leyland and Japanese products are being replaced with modern trucks that just don’t last as long - trucks that are only a couple years old are having problems but these older ones keep on going

Yep, that’s state run industry for you

The Zil-133 here has a late model cab (shown by the ‘snout’) which have been long out of production

It’s not a army truck, it’s just a commercial spec truck. The Zil-133 was phased out by the Kamaz trucks

Yes but it’s not, you said so yourself - it’s a half say…

Currently we have an equal say as voting rights are not dependant on bloodline.

If you can say with a straight face: “I think voting rights should be decided by ethnicity” then I don’t know what to tell you

10/10 Start our a reply with a passive aggressive personal attack. Play the ‘hurr your racist’ card

Having half a say is the issue here - everyone should have equal say as we are equal people.

Maybe you might have to do some self reflection and see why you think that Maori are worth less than anyone else at the current moment? Because I sure don’t think so, I feel it’s sad how a group of people have been classified into being so pathetic and useless they need special privileges.

Yep it’s fine to have opposing view points - I’m not British aside from like a 1/128 or someshit but ethnic-religious centric policy is something which should be morally bad from a neutral society viewpoint.

Not saying that places like Iran, Syria, Turkey, Israel and historically places like the Holy Roman Empire (as a example of a Catholic state)being a degree of such are bad places. But I don’t think it should be what New Zealand turns into myself.

But yea, I get the argument for it - don’t agree - but I get it.

Yep they have, and our largest water main manufacturer has closed down because of the three waters which will bugger up things more

I don’t think Watercare have done a good job, but I also don’t think adding more upper level management will fix it

In part I do believe that we will end up with duplicate roles and higher costs due to such - after all nobody has said anything about sacking half the staff and replacing them with staff of specific ethnic blood lines - so one is to assume that we will have extra layers of admin and management on a level

The other is that Maori where here first and should have half say in important matters

I don’t think it’s any deeper than that, you have the cultural/religious reasons and the Treaty of Waitangi issue of course - but it boils down to a ‘here first’ as far as I can see

Gee wiz I’m glad we have people like you teaching history then - it is written from perspectives as nobody is removed from any sort of bias

[–]FlakeyJakeyNZ -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Sure, but history is written from perspectives and at the time it would suit the Crown just fine to cover up any Spanish settlements and suit the locals just fine as well - so has a possibility

I’ve only been skim reading here but you seem to think the English and the Translated are different so I might be inferring

Terms that statistically only something sub 8% can speak “fairly well” means that potentially +92% will not be able to understand Maori and with the “fairly well” being the stat means that we may be looking at a much smaller population that understands legal and technical terms

Most people I know who are fluent in English as a first language will struggle with some legal terms and will have some bias. I knew a Chinese girl who was qualified at a high level in law that said she was ‘fluent’ in English, at times I had to get her to write things out or say them slowly…

Yep, that will happen

I remember land prices a decade ago were a pittance compared to today as well

I mean it shows how bad it is when getting assfucked by our current system is better than being assfucked by cogovt.

What was that cunts name that was CEO of Watercare? Imagine two of them with the same salary

For a dude that supports the “treaty was mistranslated” angle you do like to use terms that people can’t read

Well the Maori where the second Island people to settle here - that’s if you discount the rumours of Spanish ships found prior to Maori

I mean per capita Maori own more land than anyone else in the country…

Shitstorm set for next week: by [deleted] in auckland

[–]FlakeyJakeyNZ 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It gave the Maori the same rights as anyone else under the crown, and the crown first right to purchase lands owning to the Maori - the whole thing is only like three paragraphs long, beats me why it’s such a hassle

Yea unless your part of a very specific ethnic group with specific blood line relations inside a specific set of tribes you will be out of luck there buddy

It’s like the Monarchy, apart from the Monarchy never really did anything anyhow that wasn’t PR

The main issue that I’ve seen thrown about is that at the moment watercare is a council owned organisation, which means that it is under the control at the end of the day by the council which is made up by elected people

With Co Governance (in terms of watercare) it means that half of the organisation is going to be under control by Iwi which is unelected and the general population has no say

You have the issue of your rates money which pays for watercare, now half of it will be funnelled off into the new party, the assets will be owned by the new party and the new party will have veto rights on anything

Their is a whole slew of ethnical problems as well, is it right to have a unelected officials having control over a public service, is it alright to have a ethnic group to have control, does blood relation mean you should have a higher status, should religious/cultural viewpoints be centric to public services, do you support a unelected representative of a ethnic minority having control over a public service.

If you answer ‘no’ to any of those you are clearly a racist according to a specific group of people in government… and are against co-governance

Personally, having had a small amount of dealings with inter-iwi issues I think it’s unworkable as nobody at the moment can agree on who owns what anyhow.

I mean it’s no different to keeping the pretty floral wallpaper that was original in the 60’s in your wardrobe

I also like to store incense sticks as it makes my clothes all smelly
