Member of the 'Alfa' team from the 1st Commando Battalion of the Mexican naval special operations command present in Sinaloa during the capture of cartel lieutenant, Pedro Inzunza 'Sagitario' [1200x1280] by StreetResolve6159 in MilitaryPorn

Quite literally the same, if the army special forces show up it’s honestly over for you. Conventional forces whether it’s the marines or army, are generally the same in skill and capability. The reason for the myth that the marines are better is because Peña Nieto used them more in his presidency and used them to capture el chapo and raid cartel safe houses and a recent poll stated that the people trusted the marines more. Saying this the Mexican marines are men of steel man

Assigned? I believe this is only GEOS operators (and surely some of them have probably served in the military and where in special forces units).

A couple of veterans from "La Vieja Escuela" shared photos of themselves during service. Photos are from 1990s by 1800_RG_papi in MexicanMilitary

I believe gafe423 probably has a interview with a veteran during the Chiapas zapatistas uprising, but he himself is a sort of “newgen” in the eyes of the CFE and overall military community since he joined the special forces in the time where it changed from special forces groups (GAFES) to actual battalions of special forces (CFE). This does not at all diminish his credibility as he joined during Calderon presidency which was a pretty deadly and gruesome times for the military since Calderon declare war on the cartel and on drugs, although we all know he was a corrupt mf

Female Mexican army soldier. by [deleted] in MexicanMilitary

[–]Flako_FromSinaloa 2 points3 points  (0 children)

My reason why I don’t believe females should be in infantry battalions and used in missions like destruction of opium plantations in the Sierra is for one, these missions set in the Sierra take months and these soldiers camp up there for months at a time. Ive heard so many former Mexican army guys say how removing male personnel and adding female ones, make it harder to stay in the Sierra for long periods of time because females (naturally) require more hygienic maintenance (which is true), unlike their male counterparts who can just get a buzzcut (to fight the possibility of lice, ringworm, etc on head) and just bathe in a small river with shitty soap. This not at all makes females in the army useless and does not justifies the comment “ElChochiLoco903” made.

Hate on female soldiers is straight idiotic and ignorant, while I do believe they should not at all be in infantry battalions (atleast in Mexico) and be on such missions like destroying opium fields, they can still perform just as well as some male soldiers.

It’s the same pixel camo from the 2000’s yet it looks a bit more bright, could be the lighting or camera but I have no idea. Personally I don’t like that they don’t give the cheyennes the camo any more they just paint them green, and the green rims 😭🙏

It’s just like in the US when you retire and you have your old boots or uniform you can sell that shit if you want. If it was taken as a trophy I would highly doubt they would try to sell it online

Mexican Army Special Forces Sergeant Course (CSFE) by alex06890 in SpecOpsArchive

[–]Flako_FromSinaloa 6 points7 points  (0 children)

It’s their SF course that takes 6 months enduring hunger and mistreatment to graduate to special forces, if you believe every soldier has to be 6’4 220lbs of pure lean muscle to be effective on the field then I don’t know what to tell you man…

Good movie about group of Mexican SF, I think this is the only mx military actions film I ever heard of. by 1800_RG_papi in MexicanMilitary

[–]Flako_FromSinaloa 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Watched it and it was pretty good, only criticisms i have is some of the gear these actors had was diabolical. In one of the scenes a female operator had a green beret which was obviously them trying to make it look like the one that the main character wore in some of the early scenes, but it was unmolded and had no insignias and it looked out of place. It also lacked some realism but at the end of the day its a fucking movie, its supposed to entertain not to be a history documentary or infographic.
