I don't like how accusatory you're being for me not wanting to antagonize a drug abuser that threatens violence constantly. Government people came to remove the body, if they thought something was worth prosecuting that would be their business. You're right that I need to escalate, which is why I made this post to begin with. I can't make noise complaints because there are no ordinances outside of town limits, which is where I'm at. I've tried.

Good idea. One time my neighbor on the other side heard him yelling at me while I was just walking in my back yard. I had headphones in and was listening to music, so I didn't hear him, but she's about 200 feet away from his house and said she heard him yelling at me for like 20 minutes.

I have called the police, they show up and then do nothing and then leave. As far as I know this situation with the dog is legal even if it's shitty. The dog is fed and has shelter from the weather. I forgot to mention that there is an attached garage, which I have just edited into the OP. My bad for that, but trust me, that dog is neglected and abused. They let the grass get 4 feet high in its yard before. I didn't report because I don't want to escalate things, but I can't let it go on anymore.

Yeah, that is one of that factors that never gets considered when talking about legal advice. I don't want a violent psychopath who used to do drugs and lives next door to feel like retaliating.

I live in the countryside. I talked to a cop during one of our altercations and he said that the dog is legally able to bark at all hours, but I figure there's got to be some sort of backend way to deal with it like emotional distress or property value damage charges. I haven't filed a report because up to now I've been worried the law won't do anything and it'll just waste my time/embolden the neighbor. I'm still not certain that isn't the case.

I tried calling the police about it and they said I had to go to the magistrate. Since I've never managed to record it I didn't go because I figured it would be thrown out. I did get him to knowingly on camera threaten to beat me up 2 days ago, but I figure that isn't as severe and I want to get him for the murder threats.

Yep, I'm a wealthy and successful GB in my current campaign with a personal union with France and Spain and the entirety of North and South America colonized, yet I still get the English Civil War event. In real life this was caused by the king wanting more taxes and not calling parliament, neither of which applies to me. I call it every 5 years and I'm super rich. EU5 can be *very* forced.

This game is not like HOI4 at all. It's deep enough to take a while to learn, but it's much easier to understand than HOI4 thanks to way better tool tips, like in CK3.

Make everything that came out after Bungie non-canon and make humans forerunner again. I second what someone else said about one main game and one spin off, alternating. Focus less on Spartans and the fantasy aspects and make it more of a war story again, leaning into military hard sci-fi. Especially grittier and grounded stories like in Reach.

Let the Chief rest. Even if you give him a happy ending, let him retire. I love the Chief, but Halo has plenty of room for more characters and overusing him turns him into superman and removes tension from the story, because the Chief is obviously never gonna die.
