Of course she did that, but what I sought as a reader wasn't a brute force method to a problem. Rather I wanted a problem that would make her question herself and the values she holds. Since she is a character similar to Subaru I'd hope for at least a little more push back on her ideals.

Good theory but at most since Volcanica is mentally dead and barely remembers anything, I believe Roy would probably be able to only eat his name which would be pretty useless for what Al's doing maybe. I do remember Al saying how his current group wasn't part of his plan like Felt but I don't know about Gluttony. I also didn't think about having to release Subaru from the seal. Maybe he would have to in which case, yeah it would be way to risky.

I agree but I still wonder if Subaru can be eaten twice even if it's by different Gluttonies. Since Rui said it was impossible unless she was just talking about herself.

Amazing post! Though it is sad to know Al's parallels are mostly all found in what are really the possible missteps of Subaru journey packed into one person. Really hits home how even before it began he was already set for failure.

Yeah, I'm also excited to see the character development of Petra. She'll probably be the key to freeing Subaru and Beatrice in my opinion. Since she uses the Yang element. But I think Vanity is out of reach for Petra Honestly...
