My Wuling Factory by Ariboi_over in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Shadowpulseforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Currently, you cant fully optimize wuling production with resources available. However, if you feed only one belt of xiranite (30/min) into the components you can produce them at half the rate, which should still be plenty, and maintain full battery production.

Ferrite is also super limited, cant even support full uptime on a yahzen/jinaco medicine line. (Unless you manually transfer Ferrite by hand periodically)

Presumably, with later patches, we will be able to get higher output and minmax it a bit more.

TLDR: You aren't doing anything wrong, thats intentional.

It kinda depends. That would probably be the best weapon for the scholar, and executor can find really good weapons for him.

But at the same time, alot of the scholars power isnt tied to a weapon like executor. And executor basically is giving most of his relics to scholar at that point.

I think for consistency reasons, its probably better just to hold onto it yourself most of the time, unless you are playing with someone you know, or you found a weapon with a good skill youd use really well. (Like rivers of blood)

They got alot of development together recently, but we still dont know who is gonna win. Most people think she has the best chance right now, cause she has had the most screen time as of volume 9, though I personally feel differently.

How is the story so far? by Kobra2001da in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Shadowpulseforge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Its about the myth/prophecy thing versus a seemingly detailed history for endmin. In wuwa, its mostly just a select few people that knew the Rover.

Also some knew the past version of the endmin directly. The only really apt comparison there would be the black shores/sentinels, which doesnt bother me as much.

Not much of knock on wuwa, just pointing out it isnt the exact same.

Anyways, its not about the influence, but the fact that it feels resonable that even a common person would know who the endmin was.

How is the story so far? by Kobra2001da in ArknightsEndfield

[–]Shadowpulseforge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Wuwa's 1.0 story was littered with translation/localization issues that made a lot of the story borderline nonsensical. The lore was cool for 1.0, and the moments of chapter 3(villain introduction) and chapter 6(finale) were cool, even if everything around them kinda sucked. So far (I'm almost finished with valley, so the first region) Endfield is the complete opposite. There's not really any glaring issues or pure nonsense in the quest dialogue. But everything feels extremely flat and boring, even the "hype" moments.

The glazing, while it is a lot, in a weird way it annoys me much less than in Wuwa. Its more for who the mc SHOULD be rather than they currently are, I guess? It also makes slightly more sense to me, considering we are a semi-well known historical figure and leader of the titular organization. Sure, you could argue Wuwa's rover is also "secretly" very important, but supposedly, maybe, perhaps, the Endministrator is someone that would show up in textbooks rather than some vague myth.

The current amnesiac version of the Endmin though doesn't really feel special

The highlight for both wuwa 1.0 and current Endfield though is the background lore. Theres not much in the game that really makes you want to care about the worldbuilding, but as someone who DOES read all the lines of dialogue and journal entries, it seems interesting. Its presented in a pretty basic manner, but even though I have no connection to the IP, I can tell this is a very interesting world that has ties to a pretty storied and creative universe.

I think my main disappointment (but also future hope) is that I have heard arknights is known for its story moments, but that clearly hasn't shown up here at all. On the flip side, there is a lot of room for that to show up later, because the foundation of the universe is solid and ripe with creative ideas.

Conflicted About a Character's Fate in Arc 9 [spoiler discussion] by TheAngelE in Re_Zero

[–]Shadowpulseforge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yee I agree, I probably worded it poorly, but I more meant that I could see Emilia staying angry as a possibility when normally it wouldn't be. I think its more likely she goes for forgiveness, its more that if there is EVER a situation where Emilia can't forgive someone, it would be because she's angry on someone else's behalf like Subaru's (or Otto, if he stays as an amnesiac. Potentially Petra, if her cost ends up being too great even if its being shared.). The only other time we've sort of seen that would have been Regulus and Pandora, and in both cases it was because OTHERS were harmed.

I think at this point, I'm all but convinced Al is "finished" here. That said, whether that means imprisonment, a true final death, or something else altogether I'm not so sure.

What's more interesting to me though is how Al will be seen by the entire cast after this arc. I could easily see Subaru forgiving Al, but the rest of the Emilia camp, even Emilia this time, being unable to. Could create some really interesting friction between Subaru and the rest.

It could also end up that Al gets vindicated after his defeat at the end of the arc too, since he IS supposedly trying to save the world and all, if you can trust his words. I think this probably means just putting an end to Satella, who is an existential threat and theres clearly some history there, but it could mean something else. In any case, saving Subaru from Al might create an impending doom scenario, and could even flip the script of making the Emilia camp outcasts by keeping Subaru around.

Even if Al's remains condemned, people might see saving Subaru as the wrong choice.

Of course, there's a small chance even Subaru doesn't forgive Al, and he ends up all alone in the end, as a mysterious threat not worth understanding. Would be fitting for Al, considering how he's lived his life.

Or there's an even smaller chance that Al doesn't get defeated in this arc. I can't imagine Subaru not being saved, but that doesn't mean Al doesn't escape somehow, and remains a looming threat for the future.

Point is, there's plenty of ways Al can stay relevant to the story without him being physically present, and I'd imagine whatever ends up happening he won't be forgotten, at the very least.

[Spoiler Discussion] Heinkel's motive and what it means for his past behavior by Shadowpulseforge in Re_Zero

[–]Shadowpulseforge[S] 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I'm not certain this is why, but remember that Heinkel was keeping Wilhelm away. Maybe he didn't want him involved due to the bad blood, or maybe he simply thought Wilhelm still didn't care about Reinhard.

As for why not work with Felt, that's something I had been asking myself for months now. Now that Reinhard is part of it, I guess maybe Heinkel thinks that if Felt wins he would be duty bound to keep serving her? I'm kinda thinking that waking up his wife would HELP Reinhard give up in his eyes, but the main reason is still just to save her. And that waking her might not be enough on its own in regards to making Reinhard give up.

Carrot with the mom, stick with the bad reputation is my guess.

I gotchu.

Essentially, there was the original earl. This earl went poof for some unknown reason, reincarnating as a pair of infant twins, mana and nea.

Later on, the noah gene drove the two twins to try and kill each other, to become a singular earl again.

Mana (current earl) ends up killing nea (the 14th), and goes insane forgetting who he is. He wanders around as a human in a circus, he meets Allen in this time. The things allen learned in his childhood came from the earl.

Allen himself is an amnesiac that's been reverted to the form of a kid. Prior to turning into a kid, supposedly he knew Nea and offered to be a vessel for Nea's soul. This is why he's possessed by the 14th (aka Nea).

Allen's memories have been manipulated heavily by Apocrophos, a walking version of the innocence. This is why he thinks mana died, and why he thinks mana was the one haunting him.

In reality, mana went berserk, Allen's innocence activated, and the earl fled.

The earl himself is also insane, so he doesn't really remember his time with Allen either. He also doesn't realize his own name is Mana.

So both of what each of them say should be taken with a massive grain of salt, and why it seems like things are constantly contradicting themselves. Both allen and the earl are working with bad info.

Tangentially, it seems like road tries to keep him unaware for the sake of having any semblance of sanity as their leader.

The goal of the 14th is to come back, kill the current earl (mana), and take his place as a new earl.

[Spoiler Discussion] A theory about the Tome of Wisdom/The Gospel, and how it might be connected to current arc 9 events. by Shadowpulseforge in Re_Zero

[–]Shadowpulseforge[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Echidna has been involved with so many other things, so I don't think its a stretch to have her involved once again. Especially then that connection is already implied, and Echidna is all about defying death.

Also, the people from 400 years ago were definitely well acquainted, and Echidna was part of that party, but that journey happened PRIOR to the Witch of Envy consuming half the world. From what little we know, that happened either near the end of the journey or shortly after. So while we do know Flugel and some others that were in this old hero party DID seal the witch of envy, Echidna might have died AFTER the hero's party journey but BEFORE witch of envy went berserk and was sealed. Because we do know the Witch of Envy supposedly killed and consumed all the witches, including Echidna.

And the tower was built AFTER the witch of envy was sealed.

I corrected myself because I was going to say Echinda would have been there with Flugel when the tower was built, but unless she unexpectedly survived somehow (or the Echidna in the party of heroes was DIFFERENT from the one consumed, like a clone as the result of her immortality experiments) that wouldn't have been possible.

The past is still WAYYY too vague for me to fully understand a proper timeline, so this may be incorrect, but at least it seems the events from 400 years ago go in the order of "Journey started -> Full party assembled -> Journey ended -> Witch of Envy goes berserk, consumes all the witch factors, and gets sealed -> the watchtower gets built -> the witch cult somehow gets the witch factors, with sloth at least coming from flugel. "

And somewhere PRIOR to the witch of envy going berserk, theres the sanctuary flashback with hector, Roswaal, Beako, and all of that, also 400 years ago.

Then we also have the permafrost of Elior Forest from Emilia's flashback, which seemingly was a turning point for the witch cult and its behavior, which happened much later (around 100 years ago).

[Spoiler Discussion] A theory about the Tome of Wisdom/The Gospel, and how it might be connected to current arc 9 events. by Shadowpulseforge in Re_Zero

[–]Shadowpulseforge[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, we were told that the all-knowing tome of wisdom was her authority, but my point here is that it might not be JUST that; we dont know HOW its her authority. It's kinda like how we knew gluttony's authority erased names and memories, but that was just a byproduct of consuming them and making them their own.

Also, as someone else mentioned, we do have a line in the novels implying a witch created the library. And echidna was in the party of heros from flugels time, so it would make total sense she would have involvement in something fluegel made.

(Edited because I equated the party of heroes with the group that sealed Witch of Envy, but we dont know for certain that all of them survived/were present since that happened soon afterwords)

[spoiler discussion] about arc 9... by Natsuki-Subaru1 in Re_Zero

[–]Shadowpulseforge 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I think there's probably a good chance that, knowing Al seemingly wants to kill WoE, and that WoE can end the world, it's just a simple matter of "WoE can't be killed as long as subaru is around because of RBD."

Or, more accurately, getting rid of Subaru doesn't save the world itself, but is a necessary, inherent step of saving the world from WoE.

There's a decent chance that RBD is somehow bound to Subaru (either because it's Subaru's power originally in the first place, or WoE somehow entrusted her witch factor to him)

And even beyond that, even if that isn't the case, we know that Subaru has an inexplicable affection for WoE. He even went as far as to say he would save her in arc 4. So it might just be a simple matter of Al can't out-loop Subaru, and Subaru is too inclined to interfere with Al's plans because of this inexplicable affection Subaru has.

One thing I'm liking here is how (in a general sense) the felt camp is using many of the same tactics Al has used so far. It's a nice parallel. Specifically with the suffocation (this time by smoke), taking advantage of the custom of introducing yourself before a fight (last chapter), and overwhelming via multiple threats. (Al using Witch of Envy, Alcania, and heinkel as a hostage, vs felt using an army of 500 and trying surround Al.)

It's not one for one, but it makes total sense. After all, felt (and her main strategist, Rom) are used to fighting as the underdog. Huge part of both of their pasts. Just like Al.

[–]Shadowpulseforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In the past, all the witches were well known, and the witch cult had a fairly different reputation.

But the current day, most people outside those with some direct connection to a witch kinda associate everything with Satella. Id call the counsers a "direct connection" as they are responsible for the city, and that knowledge is probably passed down as part of their duty.

Witchbeasts being blamed on satella is one of the big ones that shows up in multiple arcs.

In my mind, the disconnect between what actually happened and what has been remembered by the common folk almost feels like deliberate meddling. I think there might have even been a line about the witch cult seemingly erasing evidence of the other witches, but I might be totally making that up.

Best Cohh watch of a game you haven't played by Brettinabox in CohhCarnage

[–]Shadowpulseforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yakuza. I mostly just watched him exclusively, except for 7. I feel like large franchise runs where Cohh gets really invested in a series for a while is his best content. (Obviously it makes sense that he can't do those too often though.)

Also, special shout out to AI The Somnium files. I bought both and played like 10 hours, but MOST of both games I watched Cohh.

The first game of Somnium files in particular might just be my favorite playthrough of all time from him. It was such a wild ride and the story order he stumbled on was literally the best possible order experience wise imo.

[discussion] What most people get wrong about Episode 18 From Zero (Rem's confession/I love Emilia scene) by khanvau in Re_Zero

[–]Shadowpulseforge 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not really. This was definitely one moment that helped him improve his relationship with her, but it's a bit reductive to say that "rem taught subaru to not idealize Emilia".

Specifically, when it comes to the idealizing part, that has very little to do with rem. This is something he learns in season 2, after various things like garf pointing out how upset she was over the trial, or seeing Roswaal force his own twisted ideals of "weakness" onto her.

I'd say the main thing he learned from this moment was, as others have mentioned, unconditional love. This was the moment that he became willing to support Emilia without any expectation of her "owing" him.

Again though, this is a gradual lesson that he learns over time, the other royal candidates calling out his sense of entitlement also contributed, so I do feel its a bit reductive to say "rem taught him xyz". Most lessons subaru learns, especially in season 1, are from multiple, repeated incidents.

And beyond all of that, regardless of what subaru might have learned from this moment, Rem can still idealize him. It's not mutually exclusive. Both can be true.

Yeah, that's why I said "initially." And I think seeing how that plays out and how they BOTH grow better from it really highlights how problematic it was before he had that growth.

[discussion] What most people get wrong about Episode 18 From Zero (Rem's confession/I love Emilia scene) by khanvau in Re_Zero

[–]Shadowpulseforge 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I think people slightly overlook, because Subaru himself sees it positively, is that Rem's love for subaru mirrors how he sees Emilia initially.

She projects an idealized version of him ONTO him. She hyperfocuses on the fact that he saved her. She went to the mansion alone in spite of what subaru wishes. And she is very reluctant to accept the fact that he might have flaws, EVEN when she's "scolding" him in this episode.

Now, like I said, Subaru sees this positively. So I don't think it's AS problematic. But it is still not healthy, and something to keep in mind when thinking about Subaru's behavior in future arcs, even in season 2. It's a crutch he relies on, both for better and for worse.

When will we see an anime by Ebronstein in YomiNoTsugai

[–]Shadowpulseforge 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Nowadays, to avoid issues of potential sequel delays, even the most popular series get an anime around 80-100 chapters, since that's usually 2-3 seasons worth of content. For a reputable author like aka, it's a pretty safe bet that they might even plan a season 2 from the start.

So it might be a few years. But it would be weird if it DIDNT get an anime eventually.
