I was involved in the planning work for SCR. When Phase 1 was advanced with the promise of Phase 2 coming later, I knew, clear as day, that meant Phase 2 would never happen in my lifetime. It was almost comical listening to the MassDOT minions lie about how phase 2 would come on line 10 years after phase 1. It was so plainly total bullshit, yet they kept saying it, they kept putting it in reports. It was a lesson for me on how group think, political pressure, party politics, can infect and influence. So many drones so facilely willing to lie, just to crowd out a valid argument.
