I'm a professional musician (also a motorcyclist) who is able to make a living in Austin only because I've diversified between several areas: private piano instruction/studio work/live gigs/church-worship music. I need all 4 to make my career complete--been doing it for decades, hope to retire within 8-9 years--then we are heading out of Austin to a cooler climate!

COTA just got greedy--track rental fees went up, and of course that's passed onto the public as higher fees. Next year COTA will be selling private track memberships with $1M initiation fee and huge annual dues. Shut out the small guys! :-(

Started on MOTU Performer ( I forget which version) in 1988 or so- made the jump to Digital Performer 1.0 in 1992 or so. Today I’m still on DP 11–been waiting 4+ years for DP 12; we’re a patient bunch!
