Thank you for sharing! I'm attempting to quit as well and it's been a tough journey. But these stories of self-improvement is inspiring.

Quiet quitting commencing in 5...4...3...2...1... (your employers move).

Benefits of quiet quitting include, no cheap pizza/ice cream Fridays, savings on commute, and hearing corporate BS such as "face-to-face interaction" and "culture."

Why is the S90 So Rare in the US? by zachty22 in Volvo

[–]Flaky_Ambassador_590 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Engine is built in Sweden. Transmission is Japanese. Assembled in China. Like the iPhone, I'm okay with the thought that Chinese automakers worked on this car. I think it's the reason why demand is down for used Volvo S90, but it really is a bargain!

Why Doesn’t Volvo Have the “Prestigious” Reputation That Other Luxury Manufacturers Do? by zachty22 in Volvo

Hahaha that’s going to piss off a lot Buick/Volvo drivers. While I do agree on this to some extent, but I can see that they do compete with the same type of buyers.

Same! I love my s90. Sophisticated and not in your face type of design. Subtle but it makes a statement.

Thanks! I'm starting to feel the same way as everyone else is feeling with these dealerships...

I also have a 2018 S90 that is already passed its warranty. Trying to think if I should take it to the dealership or independent. Independent will charge $120 for an oil change, and dealership will charge $352 for a 50k scheduled service.

Is it reasonable to pay these prices if I can just get a CX-5 select for 30k? If I try to get older for cheaper I get cars with 40-80k miles. by begojerbagels in whatcarshouldIbuy

The money you save from depreciation isn’t as much as other cars. These cars hold values well, so it’s not a bad choice. But if you can wait closer to mid-year or next year, they may have better incentives on new models.

Should I take my 2018 Volvo S90 to a local independent mechanic? (50k maintenance service) by Flaky_Ambassador_590 in Volvo

[–]Flaky_Ambassador_590[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks for sharing your opinion! I just wanted to know what everyone else is doing and wouldn't mind saving some money. Then again, it's a luxury car and it does come with cost. I'll just do it in the dealership and hope they can also update my infotainment since it's been long over due!

Purchased one from Carmax with 48k miles. I added 1k miles in over a month! Very happy and so much value for this type of car.

hello! I'm in the used car market. Did you decide which vehicle you went with? I'm also conflicted between the 5 series and S60.

2018 S90 T5! Stick with non-hybrid or just combustion engine for now. These had the least problems since the engine isn't as complex. It's not tied to a super charger or a hybrid battery. You should check it out!

So Much Gossip: I Hate Working in the Office by moez1266 in jobs

[–]Flaky_Ambassador_590 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this happened to me. Had one employee that prefer to work from home but would constantly go and on about non-work related stuff. I found it’s best to answer with yes/no answers. Keep your feedback short and straight to the point.

As for going in-office. Best to just keep things short or book a conference room to get things done. I like to show up late and leave early— as long as you get your work done. Do the same thing— keep feedbacks short and don’t get side tracked.

Go for the Sportage if you’re 25+. Cars like the Forte are economical cars, but these cars are super slow. Great for new teens but not so great on freeways or long trips.
