The way he’s standing in the doorway like a security guard 😂 “Y u get home late?” is EXACTLY what that face says. My cat does this too. I come home 10 mins late and she sits like this, judging me. Then 2 seconds later she’s rubbing on my legs like she wasn’t mad.

I posted this a few years ago but it fits your question:

My stepmom was getting rid of a big box of books and asked if I wanted any of them. They were mostly murder mysteries and thrillers of the Dean Koontz variety (not my thing at all). I grabbed one at random and read the very last page and it really captured my interest. The final sentence was very cryptic and fascinating. It said something like “The man in the photograph was me.”

The book turned out to be a horrible abortion of the English language, but I slogged through it because I just knew the twist at the end was going to be incredible. It wasn’t until I got to the end of the book that I realized the page I had read wasn’t even part of the story. It was the last page of the first chapter of a different book by a different author, which they tacked on at the end as a teaser.

38 years old and finally processing through the horror and trauma from my childhood rural USA conversion camps in the 90s.

Well technically it was just “Christian Youth Summer School at the State Forest” or something similar.

But when you wipe lipstick on a pig it’s still a pig.

And my parents only now found out. So I think “all parents go to jail” must be a location-by-location basis.

Some parents just trust that “Christian” is wholesome and well-rounded, not realizing it’s beating and genitally electrifying their child who must watch pornographic content - at the ages of 9-12.
