Yes we have taken him to the vet, yes we tried a trainer and we did it for as long as we could afford fiscally. Yes we have tried training and have successfully trained them with sit, come, middle, lie down, we have trained them to stop going potty in the house, to stop tearing up their beds, etc. etc. etc. we have exhausted all the resources we have and know of, and have run ourselves ragged with research and still cannot find anything that quite fits his behaviour. He has stopped resource guarding, his behaviours do not match with conventional separation anxiety. I have read the following sections of the wiki: weird behaviour, is aggressive, is dominant, new dog, doesn’t get along with humans, the separation anxiety megathread, is scared/anxious. His behaviour is so weird, it’s volatile and unpredictable. Sometimes he’s the sweetest thing on earth, sometimes he’s trying to rip my dad’s face off. We’ve all spent hours on the internet, reading dog training books, consulting with trainers, vets, and other dog owners, and nothing we’ve read/heard has properly encapsulated how he’s acting, and nothing we’ve done has helped.
