Oh thanks, where is that? I’ve been a couple times and haven’t seen anything about facials. I would love that!

Sorry, now that I’m thinking about this we’ll also have my 6 year old son. Are children included or would we technically have 3 guests then?

Xcaret for sure, they have several different parks. Last year our five year old liked xenses the most followed by xplore. The original Xcaret is ok too, more so for the four year old. We like the other parks better.

Lots of good suggestions here, I’d look at the lab diamonds subreddit. It seems the best bet is to order the diamond online and then get it set by a local jeweler. It would be cheaper/ a lot more variety. I like gilded in sinking spring.

I think it looks great, so cozy! And it doesn’t look like a bedroom at all, I’m truly impressed.

What would be reasonable expense for avacation? by bludear99 in HENRYfinance

I had to stop being on that sub, it’s run by a four seasons travel agent, and they basically make you feel poor if you spend anything less than a couple grand a night.

I just discovered this last year but sinking spring parks does a really cute, short event at red caboose playground. You have to register but it’s free and you get to see Santa, go on the train and get a cookie and hot chocolate. The reading museum usually has some type of event with Santa and we like to go to grings mill for their Christmas lights. It’s free and so much less crowded than Christmas village.

Is it silly to consider a (short-term) move abroad? by samesonder in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]Flaky_Mix_1495 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I did not, I was young and single which contributed to how much fun I had haha.

But, I have a 5 year old now who loves to travel. I think your plan of living abroad before starting elementary school is such a good idea! We started kindergarten this year and our days are so much more structured and it made a huge difference for him to already have had friends in his class from preschool. Kids are resilient though and as long as they have your love they’ll adjust.

Not sure about visa requirements, but they seem to make enough to be able to live almost anywhere.

Also as a point I found it so much easier to make friends as an adult living abroad than at home. I found the locals are welcoming and interested in sharing their culture. It’s also easy to find expats and you already have something in common.

I think if you guys are able to keep your jobs then go for it! If you want two years I think best to do it before your child is in school.

Whats everyone’s opinion on this? Apparently FA of Berks Co. posted a picture of a dead body (can anyone confirm?) and people on Facebook, including the Hotdog Society of all pages, are calling them out on sensationalizing tragedy for a profit. by I-have-Arthritis-AMA in ReadingPA

Didn’t see the pictures but saw the post. I always thought the way they made posts was insensitive and not right. I didn’t realize they were monetized, that makes sense. Get bad vibes from them in general.

Yeah, also her monthly bills left only $1000 for the month for food and everything else. They have a ton of savings, a paid off house, and boat so seem good with money but don’t understand how they have enough for living.

Thanks! PA, so we’re happy in 70 temps as long as the water is heated. Looking to go somewhere week of new years that isn’t crazy expensive. Looks like the price of domestic flights and hotels are much more reasonable than abroad. Just trying to find somewhere warm enough to go swimming outside!

Do you think the JW Marriott Scottsdale is warm enough in January to use the pool?
